Feasibility, efficacy, and potential design of an ecological risk assessment decision-support system for use by risk assessors and risk managers: These are the products of a SETAC workshop during which participants addressed the following aspects of system design:
• identification of state-of-the-art methods required for ecological risk assessment
• definition of decision-support system structure and its operation
• development of data and model management
• description of user entry into model and data selection
• capability to develop and integrate new or modified models within the system
• standardization of model development for use in ecological risk assessment
• development of a plan for system development"
