Business assumptions and models all too often do not consider ecosystem dynamics and the values of those ecosystems to hunans. We must begin taking ecosystem values, i.e. the value of a properly functioning Mississippi Delta to the inhabitants of New Orlens, into account. A properly functioning Delta would certainly have mitigated much of the damage done by Katrina.
