Good set of pots and pans,

I got this set as part of a rewards program so they were free. Can't complain about that. I had read the mixed reviews on the brand and was somewhat skeptical. I like to see and feel a piece of cookware before buying them. I'm fussy about my cookware but don't buy the high end stuff but I do like good quality. I'm a southern cook and have been cooking for over 35 years. This set is a really nice set. The nonstick is really that....nonstick. I've had no problems with the handles as reported in some of the reviews. A little common sense goes a long way in taking care of anything. They are not heavy but the bottom is thick enough to give good heat distribution and the little stainless ring around the bottom helps with that also. I can recommend this set as a good mid priced set. Using plastic utensils will help preserve the finish as with any of the nonstick pans.

We registered and received this set as well as the colassus pan as a wedding present in April. We bought a house with a glass top electric oven. Having our kitchen products be earth friendly is very important to me. Before use, I followed the directions and seasoned each pan. I have already had to re-season my pans at least three times and that is with using non-stick sprays when cooking. They claim to be top-rack safe, but even with handwashing 80% of the time, the non-stick coating is coming off (and no, we don't use metal utensils on it). The handles retain water somehow and leak out when I am cooking causing burning on my glass top. It's an okay first set but I am glad we didn't purchase this set for ourselves. We will be looking to invest in higher quality cookware very soon.

Don't waste your time or money,

I bought the 8 piece set along with an 11 inch fry pan and less than 6 months later, the teflon is already bubbling up and coming off 3 pieces and the handle on one fry pan has come off and 2 others are loose. I always handwash, never put them in the dishwasher. I season them like it says too and I never use any metal utensils. I bought a cheap non-stick fry pan from Walmart about 10-15yrs ago and it lasted much longer and was much sturdier than these....I should have just gone back and got another one of those & saved my money and a lot of frustration.

My sister bought this non-stick cookware and she told me it was eco-friendly and did not have the harmful chemicals like so many of the other non-stick cookware have. When I moved out, I bought the same cookware and I have never been happier. I recommend purchasing a wooden spoon so you don't scratch the surface.

Disclaimer: I bought these locally and paid $35 for the set during a sale event. It isn't a high end, top of the line, perfection on a platter set of cookware - and it isn't priced there either (even without my rock bottom sale score). What it does beautifully (for me) is provide a set of affordable, reasonable quality nonstick cookware to handle daily cooking for a household of one with occasional guests. I might cook a curry with steamed rice one day, stir fry the next, and make my own tortillas on the third. This cookware has handled it all, including the occasional fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon and the pancakes. My only (minor) complaint after a few months is that while the 5 qt lid fits the smaller saucepan there is no lid for the larger one. I haven't had much luck finding an after market solution that fits well, FYI if it's important to you. My splatter screen fits beautifully, so I'm not that bothered!

I am happy with this set. I bought a skillet from Ecolution a while back and I realized how well it held up. I dont put mine in the dishwasher, I just hand wash. But they held up so well, I had to order the whole set. I had the P aula D een set before and it was ruined within a year of having it, the black was coming off in our food. This is the most amazing non stick surface I've had and its holding up so well. Of course its not the best of the best thats out there I'm sure, but if your on a budget and want a good set of pots and pans, this is a great option!

I haven't used my set very long yet, but they cook well so far, have a comfortable handle and I love the glass lids which seem to have a good fit. They are also very easy to clean. I have been buying additional pieces to add to the original set of 8 . The box says that they can be washed in the dish washer but I hand wash them like I have done others in the past. so far....so good!
