As an instructor who has used this textbook, it is easy to understand and follow. It is written in plain English. It is logical in its organization. Lots of real world examples. The students enjoy studying a difficult subject using this textbook.

As an econ major and teacher of economics this book was the one I wished I had in Micro and macro. Clear, concise, interesting and well-organized, this book is perfect for the aspiring AP Econ student as well as the Micro/macro intro class.

If you are looking for a book that is broken down into plain English, is very readable, and is organized in a logical way...you've found it! For someone taking a basic level economics course, I can't recommend a better book. Everything is explained in language that is easy to read and understand. The text is organized in a logical, flowing manner, to include side notes and other helpful bits of information. Also, this book relates the information it is presenting to "real life", making it easier to visualize how economics affects our daily lives. I HIGHLY recommend this book!

I have only read 125 pages into this book but have already found two glaring items of propaganda. In both cases incomplete information and faulty logic were used to score points against a political ideology of which the author obviously disapproves. I am referring specifically to "Application 6: The Minimum Wage Law" on page 87 and "National Public Radio and Unemployment Figures" on page 124. In "Application 6" Mr. Arnold uses selected facts to prove a preferred conclusion and in "National Public Radio and Unemployment Figures" Mr. Arnold cites a commentator on NPR as wrong when, in fact, the commentator was saying the same thing as Mr. Arnold, according to the information given.

I am not even a college graduate and I can spot the serious problems in Mr. Arnold's reasoning. However, I am 61 years old and have a lot of life experience, formal and self-taught education in my wake. I see that this book has been printed in eight countries. I can only hope those who read this book have enough native intelligence and experience to overlook the attempts at indoctrination, get what they can from this book and continue to nurture their ability to think for themselves, despite the insidious and incessant attempts, like Mr. Arnold's, to manipulate their thoughts and minds.

East Side Books made an honest mistake in my shipment and were willing to compromise and correct it. In them doing so I personally think that their customer service is great and I will continue to order from them in the future for my book needs. On a scale from 1 - 10, I will give them a 9.

This was the book needed for my son's Economics class in college. It arrived in excellent condition and exactly on time. The service from Amazon was the best I have experienced and one of the very few companies whose word you can take for shipping times and accuracy of the order.

The textbook is great because not only will I be able to use it for Economics I but as well as Economics II provided I take the same professor.

This is a great textbook and I saved money by getting it here instead of my college bookstore!
