5.0 out of 5 stars The Economics of Technological Change, April 25, 2006
This review is from: The Economics of Technological Change: Selected Readings, (Penguin modern economics readings, x249) (Mass Market Paperback)
The Readings in The Economics of Technological Change, edited by a leading authority in the field, examines the causes and consequences of technological change using the tools of economic analysis. Part One places technological change in its historical and analytical perspectives. Part Two deals with the determinants of technological change. Part Three considers the diffusion of new technology and suggests that it can be largely accounted for by economic variables. Part Four attempts to quantify the contribution of technological change in economic growth, and contains a seminal paper by Solow. The last part explores the implications of differences in levels of technology among various countries.
