The early formative thinking of Vygotsky,
By
This review is from: Psychology of Art (Hardcover)
For those individuals interested in Vygotskian thinking and theory, this book gives a rare insight into the formation of that thinking prior to Vygotsky turning his attention to cognitive development. Though this work is somewhat dated in terms of its application to literary analysis, it does show the foundational thinking that would allow Vygotsky to make a major contribution to learning theory in subsequent books. For those interested in understanding Vygotsky both historically as well as theoretically, The Psychology of Art will be a valuable addition to their library.
