Okay, it's a decent book for someone who's never heard of the word 'economy,' but it's so opinion-driven that it can't even define a word without using a paragraph completely full of abstractions. It's a book that's made to look pretty but not for an economics major (in my opinion). Having had more advanced classes, this book seems like it's written for a high schooler by a guy who likes to look out the window and let his mind wander.

It is a pretty book; it's got a lot of pictures, graphs, and cartoons to illustrate it, and it does bring in a lot of current events for the reader to see what's going on and how it relates to economics, but really, as short as the chapters are and as nice as the pictures were, I could not take this seriously even through the first few chapters.

I purchased this textbook for the sole purpose of a graduate course I was taking. It was a required textbook for the class.
I received the textbook on time especially since I waited at the last minute to order the book just for an assignment.

I have this book for my Micro/ Macro class now. The book is very wordy, but when it comes to the math portion of the book, or explaining topics in detail the book fails. I can do without all the useless stories to the writer used to keep the information more interesting. It's a good introduction for maybe highschool. I don't think this book will prepare you for much of anything in the real work force. There's basically no math involved in this economics book which is kind of crazy. The topics are kind of superficial, and I was looking for more. All in all, if you want a book for just an overall discussion of micro/macro, then this is the book for you as there's not much depth involved. If you want a career in economics, I'd pick a better book to use. Just googling alone will supercede the value of this book. I found my self googling almost all the important parts of this book, because the author seemed to always just skim over the most useful information.
