I had high hopes for these bulbs.

I like the color and light output, but basically, they are garbage.

My house is filled with CFLs of all kinds; every fixture has one. I needed some daylight bulbs and I love Ecosmart's Bright White CFLs, so I went with their 4-pack of Daylight CFLs. I like that they're bright almost instantly and that the color temperature was just what I needed. However, of the two 4-packs that I bought, I was surprised to see that 3 out of 8 bulbs went bad within two months (each of the 3 bulbs in separate parts of the house).

I should have paid closer attention to the mostly negative reviews of this product pointing out its poor lifespan. Now I have a confusing hodgepodge of daylight and warm white CFLs since the local dollar store doesn't carry any daylight bulbs. I really do like Ecosmart's CFLs, but for some reason their daylight bulbs just don't last.

I have purchased these same CFL's and over the last 4 or 5 years, have been replacing incandescent bulbs with them (both the 60 & 100 watt equivalent). I have had only one fail in that time. And yes, like others here, I've purchased them from Home Depot. The only thing I would suggest is make sure that you do not screw them in with excessive force to the tube. I have heard this general complaint regarding any brand of CFL's and in one case the bulbs were used in a dimmer receptical (these are not rated to be dimmable), and the other was a 3 way lamp.
One note, if you do purchase them from Home Depot, and they do fail, take them back!

Gone through three packs of these around the house. Most lasted a month or two, some going 6+ months, and a few lasted hours. I like the color and light output, but basically, they are garbage.

I bought the Ecosmart Daylight bulbs in 60 watt comparable and am happy with them. I like the brighter light. So after using them for a few days , I decided my kitchen light needed more lumens, so I ordered the 100 comparable Daylight lights. Really scary, they came on, looked good and went off in 30 minutes. I shut the switch off, and turned it back on. Two of the bulbs lightly flickered a weird yellow orange from the base and I shut it off. The third light showed no activity. I should have read the reviews first. I did read the 60 watt bulbs and they were good, so I thought same brand, should be good, right? Don't waste your money.

Have been using this brand now for over a year. I have them in many lights. None of them have burnt out. So from that stand point I am thrilled.

I had high hopes for these bulbs. They're one of the only 100w 5000k bulbs I was able to find, so I bought a bunch to do up my kitchen and downstairs with. At first I was quite happy--they're reasonably sized, have good light output, and the color is about right. However, their longevity has proven to be terrible. Despite their "warranty" and life-time expectations, I've had roughly half of them not even make it a year. Very disappointing.

I purchased these for my kitchen only to have two of the four bulbs I purchased stop working in three days of normal use. This is simply unacceptable.

I've purchased 4 of these 4-pack in the last 4-5 weeks for my kitchen lights. With every pack there is at least one bulb that goes dark in less than 15 minutes of use. After this I've to switch it off for about 10 minutes to get more juice out. Recently, in the last pack of 4 bulbs I got lucky (sarcasm) and not just 1 but 3 (three) of them go dark after 15 minutes of use.

Not sure what, if any, quality testing was done on these bulbs prior to putting them on the shelf.

For the price of $8 (at home depot) these are very very cheap and so is its quality too.

If I could, I would take away the only star I've on this rating.

STAY AWAY!! You are warned!!
