First of all, I was shocked at the previous reviewer's statement because I use the ewc.org database as well to ensure product safety since cosmetics aren't regulated and couldn't believe it was that bad! Turns out it wasn't. 13 of the ingredients are 0/10 hazard rating, 3 of them are 1/10, 2 of them are 3/10, and 1 is an 8/10 (fragrance). The 3s and 8 are in the last 4 ingredients, meaning they make up the smallest amount of the furmula. It has an overall score of 4/10, but as with most things on that site, it's mostly because of the possibility of having an allergic reaction: it's not hypoallergenic. As far as my experience with this product, I think it's amazing.
The consistency is light and buttery, spreads well, sinks right in, smells heavenly, and leaves your skin with a silky feeling that makes you want to touch it, but without the greasy/sticky/heavy feel that makes putting clothes on afterwards unappealing. It lasts all day, but you'll still feel the impulse to put on more. Covering your entire body with a generous amount only takes a minute or two, it will last you for at least 2 weeks if you apply it daily and the price is unbeatable for the product. I actually look forward to putting this on, which means I actually put it on and my skin feels and looks better as a result, which makes me feel accomplished in doing something for myself. I love this product, but if you're unsure, most drug stores are now stocking ecotools products and sample packs are available at many...which is what I used before committing to the bigger bottles. I actually got one of those packs for my mom on mothers day who is notorious for doing really nice things and taking care of everyone but herself (and for being someone who's hard to shop for). I haven't asked, but her hands don't look dry or cracked anymore and her cuticles aren't covered in scabs anymore, so I'm assuming she's converted, too...which makes me feel like a good daughter :D.

I know I must be the only one to do this, but I found a small amount of this lotion makes an ideal moisturizer for my curly hair. The one downside is the unpleasant odor from some of the ingredients, but once the lotion is dry, that disappears. Unfortunately, the mfr. has discontinued production.

Consumer beware! shouild be on the front of this bottle. This manufacturer has given the impression that this product is eco-friendly and safe, when, in fact it contains artificial fragrance. The chemicals used to add scent to personal care items can be very toxic, according to the Environmental Working Group (EWG). I wrote to the company explaining my concern about the fragrance and their misleading packaging. The company sent me a letter concerned that I wasn't pleased with the product and included another product that contained even more fragrance than the original item I purchased. It's obvious to me that this manufacturere simply didn't get it. I will never buy another product from them.
