I have struggled with the glass shower doors in our master bathroom trying to remove limescale that had built up over about 5 years(we have really hard water). I've tried TONS of products (both natural and harsh chemicals) with no success. This is the first product I've found that was able to get my shower doors sparkling clean. They look almost new again and with very little scrubbing! I highly recommend this product, it saved me from having to buy new shower doors!

It did a very good job on my cultured marble shower and the glass door, I recommend it, you do need to spray and leave the bathroom, and respray if the limescale is bad. The odor can be a bit strong, but it works well.

We had tried cleaning our shower doors with every (seemingly) caustic cleaner I could think of and it never sparkled like it did after using this cleaner. All you have to do is spray the foam and watch the limescale disappear. I didn't even have to scrub!! I only bought one 16oz bottle, but I'll be back for the 6-pack soon enough. There is a slight smell, but nothing compared to 409, Fantastik, etc.

I purchased to clean some heavy limescale off a humidifier water tray and other parts of the humidifier system in my home's air conditioning and heating system. It removed a fair amount of limescale but some still remained. It would be fine for light duty but you'll need something stronger for heavy limescale buildup.
Recommended for light duty tasks!

Not effective in our hard water situation,

I'm probably going to get ripped for writing a negative review on a product that seems to work for everyone else, but the combination of minerals in the aquifer below Albuquerque, NM, and surfaces in our shower stall have pretty much defeated every product I've tried. The shower walls are Corian (a big mistake), and this product was the worst performer on the walls. It was ineffective on the scale and left a white film behind. Ecover was ineffective on the glass, but then nothing I've tried works on glass. The one success was the enameled metal door frame: the scale came off easily after a light spray. That raised my rating from one star to two.The fumes are not toxic, but I can't stand the smell. It's much stronger and much worse than any other "natural" cleaner I've ever tried. It reminds me of conventional liquid toilet cleaner, which I think is pretty bad, and I find Ecover's smell more objectionable overall because it's sprayed on a much larger area. |
