Ecstasy was a fun and different book to read. Charlie is an erotic writer who has a hard time find a woman to date who doesn't think he's a pig. He meets Candace at a writer's conference. She's decided to find out if she has what it takes to be an erotic writer. The relationship between the two of them was great. I loved the little lessions he gave her about sex and reading about their stories they were each writing inside the big story of the two of them was fun also. The only thing that seemed strange was when Charlie found out about something Candace did and was upset about it, but then two seconds later he wasn't mad. Other than that, the book was a great read.

Still shaking my head on this one. I've heard some great things about Bella Andre and I started with Ecstasy because it was a free read. I'm glad I did. I thought the writing was elementary at best with little character development, cheesy dialogue, and unrealistic/unbelievable plotting. I read quite a bit of erotic romance. This was neither erotic nor romantic. The language used was crass, not sexy. The character's internal dialogue was laughable. Worse yet, anyone who has even a basic understanding of BDSM would be appalled...

SPOILERS...

to have a first sexual encounter with bondage, blindfolds and hot wax after one meeting and no discussion is ridiculous and quite frankly, irresponsible of the author. One minute Charlie's thinking to himself how inexperienced Candy is and how careful he needs to be and the next he's pouring hot wax on her bound body???

To be fair I was pretty checked out after references to her "muff", her breasts being like "lush melons" and when the first sex scene ended with, "Sweetheart, you are definitely an A+ student." gag. Maybe it got better but I didn't have it in me to do more than skim the next two chapters and then give up entirely.

This is the first book I've stopping reading before finishing and will be my first Kindle delete. If you want good erotic romance check out Lorelei James and her "Rough Riders" series, Jayne Rylon, or Lora Leigh's "Bound" series. If you want to read good (and responsible) BDSM stories, I'd highly recommend Cherise Sinclair's Mountain Masters series. Good luck and happy reading.

This was a great book it was fast paced with character development and a real plot. you don't often find that in erotica. I do think this book should have been labeled a little better because it is romantic erotica not just contemporary romance. I think that might have helped in the reviews. if your not looking for lots of sexy scenes and in graphic detail you might want to skip this one but if that is what your looking for it is one of the better reads.
