A Real Disappointment!,

After having just read Desired, Sinful Secrets, By Desire Bound, and All I Desire by Ms. Devine, I was expecting more excitement from this book. I had to push myself to finish this one. The plot was boring and too much time is spent on their traveling to Rim City. I have been on a quest to obtain all of her books either searching used book sites or auctions and have thoroughly enjoyed all the ones I have been able to get (not easy!) but after having read this one, I may stop my search. This was one of her earlier books I believe but it didn't seem like it was written by the same person. I like her later novels much, much better. Thea what happened?

Thea Devine was recommended to me as an excellent author so I ordered her first two books: Reckless Desire and Ecstasy's Hostage. I read Reckless Desire first and really didn't like it at all. I thought I'd never finish it! I started reading Ecstasy's Hostage with an open mind because the back of the book sounded pretty good - and it should have been. The plot was good, the main character's backgrounds were interesting, there was suspense, there was mystery, there was an unsolved murder. Sounded great! It dragged and dragged. I had to force myself to finish it but I did. It will be a while before I read another book by this author if ever.
