4.0 out of 5 stars Music... TO THE EXTREEEEEEME!
If you're an ECW fan, you shouldn't need much convincing to buy this album. I noticed that none of the reviewers went through song-by-song and gave you the ECW credentials for each, so I'll go ahead and do that here.

This is Extreme! - First original ECW theme, used on ECW TV until 1999.

El Phantasmo - Lance Storm's theme song from the Impact Players era.

Walk -...

Walk - Rob Van Dam's theme song from the Mr. Monday Night/Whole F'n Show era.

Trust (Instrumental) - ECW promo theme song, used during countless ads for upcoming tour dates.

The Zoo - Used by Bam Bam Bigelow as his first theme song, and the theme song for Mike Awesome during the first few months of his reign as champion.

Enter Sandman (Motorhead) - Sandman never used this song as his arena entrance theme, but it's the version that's dubbed over for his entrances on the ECW DVDs by Pioneer.

Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck - Theme song used by Justin Credible for most of his ECW tenure.

Phantom Lord (Anthrax) - No real ECW ties that I know of.

Heard it on the X - Also no real ECW ties that I know of.

Kick Out the Jams - Again, no real ECW ties that I know of.

Big Balls (Muscadine) - Probably the weakest track on the album, and never used by Balls Mahoney in ECW. Balls used a cover of this tune, but the instrumetal was done by Boner, and he sang it himself.

Huka Blues - Phenomenal Sabu theme song, used from 1998 to the time he left the promotion in 2000.

Again, I'm rating the CD as an ECW fan, and I'll happily give it four stars. I'd give it five if not for the songs that ECW never used. In any event, happy shopping!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great effort from a great promotion -- ECW!, August 7, 1999
This review is from: Ecw: Extreme Music (Audio CD)
The ECW Extreme Music Vol. 1 CD is a great CD for any fans of music, metal in particular. A great job by the bands who did covers (Motorhead, Anthrax, Tres Diablos, Kilgore, etc.) The Harry Slash and Slashtones originals were EXCELLENT. You must understand that in order to use the original songs would've cost A LOT of money and to have the original artists re-cut the songs would've been impossible. Great work ECW! Vol. 2 should be out this coming spring or summer. A great CD from the best promotion in the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars ECW-What Else?, October 13, 1999

This is the best CD for wrestling entrances, hey, it's ECW, NOTHING COMES CLOSE! It's perfect, I would recommend it to anyone. Although, if you're looking for The Sandman's ORIGINAL music, 'Enter Sandman' by Metallica, it is NOT on the CD, a version by Motorhead is on it, and isn't even close to the original by Metallica, but that is GREAT. Taz, Sabu's and RVD's themes also on it..

4.0 out of 5 stars GOOD COLLECTION OF ECW THEMES, June 8, 2004
This review is from: Ecw: Extreme Music (Audio CD)
THIS ALBUM OF ECW THEME SONGS, WHICH ARE MOSTLY A BUNCH OF COVERS OF OLD HEAVY METAL CLASSICS, IS PRETTY EXCITING TO LISTEN TO. THE BEST TRACK ON HERE IS BRUCE DICKINSON'S ''THE ZOO''. MOTORHEAD'S RENDITION OF ''ENTER SANDMAN'' IS VERY GOOD. THIS CD REALLY REMINDS ME OF THE GOOD OLD DAYS OF WRESTLING [BACK WHEN THERE WAS MORE THAN JUST THE WWE TO LOOK AT] THAT I'LL POSSIBLY NEVER SEE AGAIN. GET THIS CD NOW.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty F'N good, October 24, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Ecw: Extreme Music (Audio CD)
For any ECW fan this is a MUST HAVE. For non fans but metal fans this is a should have. The covers of the themes are often better than the originals. Such as the cover of Prong's "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck" or the cover of Pantera's "Walk". The one thing it was missing is the cover of "War Machine" by Kiss, the Taz theme.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent ECW cd!, February 13, 2000

I was very impressed with this cd. Not many cds out there impress me too much, but this stands out with cds like WWF Volume 3 and 4. If you're looking for the themes, then get these, they are the real themes, and if you like metal, then this is really for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good CD, August 21, 1999

This CD is very good, with only two exceptions. The wordless version of trust by megadeth and Motorhead's version of Enter Sandman are very disappointing, but since i own the original versions of both i dont really care. My favs are the ECW theme, Kilgore's "walk"(Rob Van Dam's theme), and Grinspoon's "snap your fingers, snap your neck"(Justin credible's theme). You don't have to like ECW the like this CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD is awesome, and not just for ECW fans!, April 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Ecw: Extreme Music (Audio CD)
These ECW themes are great. I just started watching ECW, and have heard great rock songs all together on one show. And now that they have released an album of their songs, it's amazing. Unfortunately, Megadeath's "Trust" is without lyrics, and Motorhead butchered a Metallica classic. Besides that, this CD has some awesome songs, especially Kilgore's "Walk". After all, since it's Rob Van Dam's theme song, it's got to be the f'n best!

5.0 out of 5 stars Now This Is EXTREME !!!, November 14, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Ecw: Extreme Music (Audio CD)
This album is without a doubt the greatest wrestling related album of all time. This totally blows away any of the WWF or WCW CDs. Extreme Music has everything, from @$$ kicking hardcore music to awesome pics of all of the ECW superstars, including the beautiful Francine. So if you are a fan of heavy metal or a fan of wrestling, I urge you to buy this CD. If you don't, "It's a regret, you'll never forget !!" Thank you for your time.
