I bought two of these steps (one for upstairs and one for downstairs) for my daughter when she was 2 and started potty training. She's 3 now and still uses them everyday to independantly wash her hands, brush her teeth and reach higher shelves on her bookshelf. They are in great shape and perfect working order still! This is one of the best steps because it is higher than many steps out there, but the 2-step design makes it easier for smaller children to use.

This step still is great for my 2 year old. It's very durable, made of pine, I think, and goes with everything in the bathroom. I do like the fact that I can paint it any color I wanted later, since it's just made out of wood. I bought it b/c it was the only step stool I found where the second step folded inside the bigger step, for when she gets older. The second step is so easy to pull in and out, that my toddler can do it now too. I gave it four stars becasue it would have been nice if it could have converted into a chair too.

This step-stool is ideal for toddlers, and especially for small rooms. I bought this for my granddaughter, and her bathroom is small. It's compact and easily moved. The second step pulls out and that is one reason it was my pick. Also, it has Eddie Bauer's name on it and that means quality. Plus, its smart looking!

I think there are far too few lovely, beautifully crafted wooden baby products out there. When our little one got to the point where he wanted to peek out of the windows and we realized that what he wanted was a step stool...I set out hunting for a pretty wooden one. I looked low and high and finally stumbled on this gorgeous Eddie Bauer piece in a sea of wretched plastic children's furniture. Its super well made, very pretty, the perfect size and it came very promptly. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!

I bought this stool for potty training. The steps were a nice height. It's a very nice looking stool, it doesn't look all tacky or cheap like many of the plastic ones, or even some of the painted wood ones. However, since it was used for potty training, it took some... abuse, if you know what I mean. It doesn't look like it did when I bought it a few years ago. But, it still looks nice. In some bathrooms we have used it in, keeping the bottom step pulled out makes it big and interferes with the door opening. We actually just keep the bottom pushed in all the time. I realize in hindsight that the bottom step was not very useful for us. Our kids needed it for a very short time - the top step is low enough that they can climb onto it. The only thing I don't like is that it's pretty heavy, and the kids like to push it around between the potty and the sink, but it's a bit hard for them to move.

I had been looking around for a setp stool for my toddler for months. Plastic ones were a bit flimsey, and most were not wide enough for my toddler to safely move around on, or tall enough. When I saw the Eddie Bauer 2-Step Stool I was in love! not only is it durable, and safe, but it also blends in with my home furniture. Everything I was looking for. I recomend this to all my mommy friends.

I typically buy less expesive products but knew this would be used by both my daughters frequently for the next few years. My oldest has been using this for about a year now (since she was 2). She uses it for the sink as well as for getting to the toilet. She moves it back and forth herself and can now pull out the bottom step on her own. She considers it 'her' steps. It has held up really well the last year of constant use. My 18 month old enjoys stepping on it now to brush ber teeth at the sink. If you are in need of a step stool, this one is great!

this step stool is very sturdy and stowes away nicely...great for getting up to the potty or sink

This is a great stool. very sturdy and easy to use even for my 1 1/2 yr old. The only thing I don't like is that the bottom step slides back in easily, it would be nice if it had a lock function for the bottom step. Sometimes my little one has difficulty b/c the bottom step has moved. But compared to plastic stools, this one is great. We have two in our house and would purchase it again.

This stool is really nicely designed and pretty to look at (versus plastic ones). My 2 year old son can slide the lower step in and out himself and makes it much easier for him to reach the sink without taking up too much space. Great product!
