Very convenient, but it's now plagued by a slow leak, March 19, 2008
This review is from: Eddie Bauer 550603 Printed Queen Indoor Bed (Misc.)
We bought this air mattress solely for guests and for our own use when we go spend the night somewhere nearby (within driving distance), and that's all we've used it for. The built-in pump is very convenient, though I wish the cord was longer. Operating the pump is extremely simple, though it's a bit awkward to do if you're trying to inflate or deflate the mattress while laying on it.
The bad: After about a year (maybe 8 overnight uses), we noticed it had developed a slow leak. After 4-6 hours with two people on it enough air escapes so that if the one person gets up off the bed, the other person will actually rest on the floor a little bit. We don't know if the leak is in the pump or at a seam. (With such a slow leak, that is very difficult to diagnose.) We're planning on replacing it with a higher-quality, more durable air mattress.
I've only used this mattress for sleeping on the floor indoors; hopefully our guests were also gentle with this mattress.
My final recommendation: If you get this mattress, I recommend that you avoid sleeping on it when it is inflated to the max.

Buyer beware Minimal sleep with slow leak - straight from new, January 27, 2010
This review is from: Eddie Bauer 550603 Printed Queen Indoor Bed (Misc.)
Having researched the many air mattresses offered by Amazon - this seemed to be a reputable brand with reasonable reviews.
Received it - pumped it up - great!
Wrong
Used as temporary bed for relo 2 days later. Pumped it up - nice and firm - 2 hours later - a little soft - put more air and went to bed. 90 mins later - very soft - reinflated and so on during the night - minimal sleep. Like all other beds of this ilk - seems there is absolutely no QC and it is up to the user to find one that performs throughout the night.
A piece of garbage unworthy of the Eddie Bauer name

Great spare bed!, August 28, 2008

So great we bought a second for rental apt. Very comfy for blow-up and price. The fabric cover makes it much warmer since you aren't directly on plastic.
