5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, February 26, 2009
This review is from: Eddie Bauer® Adventurer Travel System (Baby Product)
My husband and I decided on this system after trying several different systems in the store. (We took ever single one down and snapped the carseat on/off and folded up the stroller). We chose this one because it felt the most durable, the wheels were sturdy and it had strong metal bracing--where the others had plastic or aluminum.

I have had this system for 3 months, and I am completely happy with it. The only thing I can complain about is how loud the handle on the carseat is when it snaps up (this can be prevented by holding the buttons in), and how it is a little tricky to put things in the basket under the stroller.

I take this with me everywhere, to the store, through the airport, and on daily walks, and I have never had an unpleasant experience with it. It seems like they have thought of everything. Especially the ease of folding and unfolding the stroller, and snapping/unsnapping the carseat into the base.

I have read other reviews online and I do not think the harness system is any harder than other car seats out there. And I have to say that my son is extremely comfortable in the carseat or in the stroller alone. I highly recommend this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy so far., July 6, 2009
This review is from: Eddie Bauer® Adventurer Travel System (Baby Product)
I just bought this system this weekend. It took me less than 5 minutes to put together and I did it with looking at the directions only once. The deep cupholders for parents and the child are very nice. My Graco Stroller cup holder's were not very deep and you would have to hold onto your cup as to not have it tip out. Not an issue with this one. Very soft fabric and a lot of padding and it's gender neutral. Very rich looking in person. I don't like the babyish designs or busy designs that one can get tired of quickly. The basket design is a bit different with the spring design rather than the latch to lower the basket, but there is a lot of storage and you can get into it fairly easily. Again, the pros outweigh the few cons it has. I was a Graco fan 100% but after trying out their strollers and car seats in the store, they were all so hard. I did have a Graco Snugride with my previous child and the car seat was so hard we often added padding or towels so her butt wouldn't be so sore. This was the only car seat and stroller in our budget that had the softness and durability we were looking for. While I shop Amazon all the time, I wanted to buy the car seat and stroller in person to try them out in the store and have a physical place to take them back if there was something wrong. I always go to Amazon for the reviews and price comparisons and felt compelled to write this. Loving it so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cadillac of strollers, August 27, 2009

My husband calls this the Cadillac of strollers, I'd like to call it my Hummer! It's very plush and well made. The stroller has several seat reclining options and rides very smoothly. It has cupholders and trays for little one and adult. It has a roomy storage compartment underneath to accomodate diaper bag, shopping items or bring along toys. The carseat is made for newborns and up and you can remove padding and "bumpers" as the baby grows. The carseat does make a loud "click" when you insert it into the seat but to me it just means baby is safe and secure! We purchased the additional base so that we can have the carseat in both vehicles. You just snap carseat right in-no seatbelts to contend with.
I call it my Hummer because it has wheels that are made for all terrain! It has 4x4 capibility and is rather large so don't expect to push it between tight aisles in department stores. Although it does fold down easily with the push of a button, its a heavy piece of equipment and loading it into your trunk is quite a feat so I hope you have a large trunk and a strong back.
