A bit in-tents!,

I'm not a regular camper (but I'm willing to start)! I practiced setting up this tent one time before taking it camping, and that was good enough. My son and I were able to easily set it up at our campsite even though we got there after dark. We didn't get to test it out on harsh elements like some other reviewers did, in fact the mountain weather was quite pleasant, but that gave us the opportunity to enjoy the *moon roof*. I had no problems with the zippers. The shoe vestibule worked very well for us, keeping our shoes dry and the tent floor relatively clean. The ceiling storage unit kept my eyeglasses within reach and from getting bent. I absolutely can not imagine having four people in there! We could have fit it one more adult without too much difficulty, but I liked the space I had, with just one teenager along. The *storage room* is not a separate room, but just kind of makes the tent bigger. Overall, it's well worth the money.

faithful tent,

This tent has sheltered us from The Rockies to The Great Lakes for almost 3 years. Through wind, rain and cold, it has kept us dry. The ventilation is good with all of the windows as well during warmer spells. It's not very spacious, but it works perfectly for my husband and me, our bags and our air mattress.

Comfortable, stable, leaks around doors.,

We spent a week with this tent on a Lake Michigan beach. Setup was easy and the supplied net shelf very handy. During two days of high straightline winds it was solid (using 2 extra long stakes to windward because of the loose sand).) It withstood the wind better than an adjacent "family" dome that looked like it was about to roll over. This tent was comfortable with our queensize air matress and a backpacking pad for our daughter. Ventilation is excellent because of the large mesh area. During a sustained heavy rain a small amount of water collected below the main door though the matress kept us dry.

Weak Tent,

I have used this tent 5 or 6 times. Zippers always get stuck and the fly construction is terrible. If you plan to camp only durning spring or summer in perfect conditions, then for the price it is just okay. Shop around!

Nice tent good price.,

This tent is a very good buy for the money. The tent itself is easy to put up. The fly seems to be a bit of an afterthought and not real easy to put together though. It is very weatherproof and roomy. Ours has withstood some pretty powerful thunderstorms while keeping everthing inside dry. We are able to use our queen size airmattress with plenty of room for storage. If your wanting a good economical tent this is the one for you.

Dependable Tent!,

This tent did the trick! We took a couple of trips this summer and the tent is easy to set-up, and did not leak in (light) rain. I'm not a die-hard camper, so I wouldn't know how this tent compares to more expensive ones. With all of our gear, it fit 2 adults and 2 kids pretty comfortably--any more gear or people would have been too crowded. Good value for the $.

Poor zipper design,
By A Customer

I really liked this tent, but when it came to actually using it, I grew to dislike it. It has the worst zipper design I have ever encountered. I have owned several tents and have never had this problem with another brand. This tent has large cloth over-hangs to cover the zipper and these are contstantly being caught in the zipper. Also the zippers do not meet perfectly when the tent is completely zipped, so there is always a small opening. I like the style of the tent, but not enough to continue using it, after only a year of use I am going to buy a different brand.

Great looking tent,

The tent is large and enough room for four people. However when using a bed, only two person could feel comfortable. This was the first time I used this tent and was able to set up in less than 10 minutes though I tried once at my home. But also I could not get the tightness while setting up the tent as shown in the picture. It has great design and color combinations. It is roomier and enough place for storage. I loved the star gazing feature and enough hooks and windows inside for ventillation. I would certainly recommend this tent; although I am willing to try another with similar style and price.

Didn't leak, But DOESN'T ZIP,
By Buckeye (England) - See all my reviews

Like the previous reviewer, I experienced problems with the door zipper -- it kept getting caught on the outside flap and it was very difficult to un-jam. On a more positive note, the tent hadn't been waterproofed and though it rained heavily all night, the tent stayed dry inside. We thought we were lucky until the zipper fiasco -- so while the tent didn't leak, struggling with the zipper DID let rain in. I wouldn't recommend this tent. It was fairly easy to set up, seemed roomy, and held up in the wind & rain, but unfortunately the zipper difficulty was an inconvenience that overshadows the positive features in my mind. I guess it's lucky we borrowed the tent from a friend ...

I used the tent 2 times and the zipper broke. I had trouble with the zipper the first time, but the second time it completely broke.I threw it in the dumpster as I left the campsite. I have upgraded to a Kelty Green River. |
