Eddie Bauer Auto Booster Car Seat in Portman

We did a lot of research before buying this and it was rated in the top 10 from Parents Magazine, had very good ratings from the NHTSA, and was ranked high by Consumer Reports. It is very lightweight which is a little surprising. It is a roomy carseat, has cup holders on both sides that can be pushed back in if you are not using them. The arm rests are nice. My daughter seems very happy with the seat. We previously had the Sunshine Kids Radian 80 as her toddler car seat--it was nice, but much narrower, no cup holders, no arm rests, and no head cushions that stick out like this one. We have had it for a month now and are very satisfied!

We love this seat, each of our kids has one. There are cup holders on both sides, so it doesn't matter which side of the vehicle the seat is on. Also, the cup holders slide closed into the seat when they are not being used, saving space. The arms move easily so the children can buckle themselves in quickly. The handle on top makes it easier to grab hold of and to move from one vehicle to another. The head rest is adjustable to the height of your child as they grow. Also, the angled sides of the head rest work well when a child falls asleep and it keeps their head from bobbing. The fabric is easy to clean if there is a spill, and even comes off easily if you need to throw it in the washing machine. Great seat!

We tried this seat in 4 different cars. In our Corolla and BMW X3 it fits fine (not the center position though) but we have to remove the head rests to accommodate the seat. It fits perfectly in the center position of an Acura TL (older model) and fits fine in a Jeep Rubicon.

The problem is the silver bar that protrudes out of the headrest of this seat--it's just adds too much hight. Other than that, our daughter likes this seat and it's easy to take in and out of different vehicles. The cup holders are also nice since they can be stowed right in the seat.

This booster was highly rated by Consumer Reports, so I was shocked to discover the back is not rigid. This booster is also frustrating to use. My granddaughter, age 4, could buckle herself into her old, out-grown carseat. With the booster, she cannot do this, and I can barely do it myself. In additon, the seatbelt does not want to stay in the positioning bracket. I would not purchse this model again.

I'm the type to obsess about product reviews. I was nervous about this product because there was only 1 review on Amazon at the time. The booster received very good reviews from national safety organizations, so I decided to give it a try. I took it to my local car seat installation station and the installers were very impressed with the seat. In addition, it is very easy to use, light weight if you need to throw it in the trunk to make room, and my 3 year old son loves it. I am very happy with my purchase and would reccomend it highly.

We have two of this booster seat. We bought them over a year ago and they are holding up very well. We chose this car seat because of the safety reviews. Seat is light weight and easy to move in the car. We would buy this seat again.

Like many of the other buyers, I researched many car seats before I chose this one. I had planned to buy a Britex booster because we have a Britex car seat but I read that it doesn't always fit well in all cars and there are issues with the seat belt guide. So, after researching safety and features, I chose the Eddie Bauer. I have been very happy with my purchase. The seat fits just fine in my Honda Civic and the seat belt guide doesn't get held up. My son loves it and says it is very comfortable.

I love this booster. I looked for a booster that met the safety guidelines and this was one of the very best I found. It is light weight and my daughter loves it. She can easily strap herself in and who does not "love that". So, this is for sure the best purchase I have done.

I bought this to replace a smaller seat for my now 2 1/2 year old daughter in my full size van. I was concerned that she would not sit as high on the seat as the base did not appear to be as tall as the seat we were replacing. I really like the hide away cup holders, and the seat belt keepers right below the head side protectors are very nice, as they keep the seat belt where it needs to be both when she's in the seat and when I have to keep it restrained when she is not with me. I would definitely consider purchasing another of these when the time comes to upgrade the remaining two car seats we have that are larger than the one I've already replaced. The value and quality seem to me at least to be very good.

I, too, did lots of research, and chose this Eddie Bauer booster based on IIHS and Consumer Reports ratings 2 yrs ago. My older son loved it. It was comfortable, the headrests do a fair job of supporting him when he fell asleep, the cupholders after two years still function just fine, and he likes the swiveling armrests which make it easy for him to buckle the seatbelt by himself.
So when my younger son grew out of his toddler seat, I was disappointed that this model was not available. I researched again, and bought an Evenflo Big Kid Sunflier, which seemed to most resemble the Eddie Bauer booster. However it simply does not fit in the backseat of our Subaru Legacy. We have to sort of tilt it to buckle, then slide it back so that it sits smoothly. We decided we couldn't live with that, and are returning the Evenflo seat for a partial refund (since we destroyed the box, etc.), and are very happy to see this one available again on Amazon. It is more expensive than most other boosters, but it will be worth it.
I highly recommend this seat, although would add that if your backseat is roomier than ours, the Evenflo may do as well for you for half the price (at TRU).
