The main thing I don't like is that there is a little gap between the top removable tray and the main tray right in front of his tummy, so any drips/spills/crumbs collect in there and then I just have 2 trays to clean. They should have made it so the edge of the removable tray curved over the bottom tray a little so nothing could get in there. It is nice that you can just throw the removable tray in the dishwasher, though.
Another minor issue is that when I have the seat pad off to wash it, my son complains that the little ledge on the backrest hurts his back. He's on the smaller side, so doesn't have a lot of "padding," so maybe that's part of it. I usually try to wash it after he's in bed and hang it up to dry overnight so it's ready for breakfast or at least lunch the next day. Not a huge deal the majority of the time, though.
We really like this wooden highchair. We have a pub height table and the highchair is perfect for our little girl to sit at the table with us.
There is a "permenant" front bar with small tray, so she can sit in it without the main & snack trays attached. We've found it super easy to keep clean.
We use the back shelf for a small bin of bibs, which is really useful.
If we unscrew the "permenant" front bar/tray the chair pushes right up to the table and will be perfect height for her to eat at the table when she outgrows use of the trays. This is a really nice feature as this seat has the appropriate seat size and has wooden arm rests that will make it safer for her to sit with us at the table when she is a toddler/pre-schooler.
We can see getting years of use out of this. It matches our dark wood set nicely.
So, we've been using this high chair for about a year and a half, and it definitely has some pro's and con's. I haven't noticed any of the "comfort issues" that some of the negative reviewers have mentioned - my son has always acted perfectly comfortable in it. In fact, I got sick of trying to keeping the padded cover off to wash, so I just removed it completely when he was about 18 months old, and he still seems comfortable. I actually like the fact that the top tray removes. There are a lot of days where I serve breakfast, and don't get around to fully cleaning the top tray until later in the day. On those days, it is very handy to just remove the top tray and let him eat lunch on the bottom portion. I will say that with all of the wood slats, it is difficult to keep this high chair clean - but I'm sure that is the case with most high chairs. I do also like that the trays are dishwasher safe. The little diddy in the description that claims, "Convenient mealtime storage is out of baby's reach" is somewhat laughable. If you have a toddler, you know what I mean. Overall, if you want a highchair that blends in with traditional furniture - the "cons" are probably worth it for this chair.

Great high chair! We love it, I was just wondering if anyone knew I could take off the whole high chair tray and wash it in the dish washer??Published on February 4, 2014 by Amazon Customer
The chair does not recline, rendering it useless for a baby with little control. Also, and much worse, my son repeatedly hit his head against the wood. Read morePublished on October 14, 2012 by Nicole
