This is Heavy!!!! This is very too large for our SUV.
the straps do constantly twist, when your concern is about babies safety, you don't want to spend fifteen minutes (potentially standing in the rain or snow) and untwist. Plus, for those of us who have a hard time adjusting these things, this one has to have an overhaul once baby gets to be a toddler. All the belts ahve to be moved and changed, and it's not easy at all.

We have 2 toddlers, and we have this car seat and a Britax. Don't even think of buying this one unless you want to hear your husband yell every time he has to put the baby in or move it to another car. In addition, the child is only comfortable in this seat if awake and can hold his/her head up. Otherwise, get a travel pillow to put in front of the neck to keep the child from falling over. I am so sad that this seat is still on the market. The Britax seats are expensive, but worth EVERY penny...do it.

I have previously purchased older models of this same style seat (Eddie Bauer) and had no issues. This particular model I am having a problem with the straps getting twisted. It seems minor but its difficult to strap my son in with the straps twisted so I have to untwist them before strapping him in to ensure he is secure. The other thing is that its difficult to adjust the straps because of the base. Maybe I am just complaining but the previous models I had were not this difficult. If you have a child with chunky legs like my sons be sure to make sure the legs are clear when strapping them in because the buckle between the legs can pinch.

The only reason I didn't rate this as a 5 is that the straps do get twisted around a bit which I noticed in some other reviews but it's really not as bad as I was expecting. It's an excellent value. My daughter is very comfortable and safe and I love this car seat! It was WELL worth the money that I paid.

Great Service from Amazon. I ordered and received it in a few days. My 18 month old daughter loves the car seat, she looks very comfortable sitting on it. Easy to assemble, the only downside is that it is bulky and heavy. I guess that is the price you pay when you want the car seat to last for a few years through the growing phase.

We ordered three of these (2 gandbabies on the way). Nice and sturdy but not really good for an infant. It's a huge challenge to adjust the straps (for smaller children). And, you can't use it as a carrier (BIG ISSUE) which means you have to purchase a second car seat that doubles as a carrier (because no one sells just carriers anymore). Initially, I thought this wasn't a big deal, but it is extremely inconvenient not having a place to put an infant in certain situations (e.g., restaurants or in the grocery store).

On a good note, it looks ideal for a toddler - equipped with a cupholder (though one of the three arrived without the cupholder and Amazon has not responded to any of my emails to fix it) ...

Bottom line - my recommendation - don't waste your money ... it's too inconvenient. And, especially with a new baby, practicality is key!

Finally I got a carseat that is comfortable!! It reclines a little more than the other one I had, but watch out!! This is for kids 1yr of age and older, I don't think it would be as comfortable for a small baby. I don't think it's that heavy either, it's kind of bulky but I wanted it that way so I don't have a problem with it.

Really love the car seat. Very comfortable and worth every penny(got it on sale). I had bought a carseat from walmart for 69.99 and believe me it doesn't even come close to this one.I took it back once I received this one. The only problem with this car seat would be the buckel that sits between the legs instead of the pelvic bone but other than that, would buy it anyday.

This seat is really comfortable and our son likes it. But the straps twist within their brackets really easily. I took it to BCAA for testing and they said this was a common problem with this brand. If you carefully set the straps to either side before removing your child they will not twist. Its not hard, but you have to remember to do it. Otherwise, no serious problems with this chair.

The box was kind of broken and I did not receive the receipt from Amazon. The car seat is very complicated to set up. And I have found a better price in Sam's club (only $91).
