My son is 5 months old now and finally taking an interest in this bear. He likes to "mouth" the bear's snout and the different textures are stimulating, but in a less excitable way than most toys. I let him hug and snuggle this bear before bed when we read books. It matches the nursery perfectly.
All this said- if it wasn't a gift I would not have purchased it. But now that he has it, he enjoys it.
