It has been very usefull, even to use it as a co-sleeper when my baby got the flu, and when we where overnight away from home.

What you see in the photo is exactly what the bed looks like.

My baby is so long that she outgrew this quickly, but it was a compact and inexpensive solution for travel and day trips. I added a waterproof pad to add more plushness, but it's handy for naps at all-day outdoor venues, for the pool, etc. It also afforded a little privacy when changing her diapers and corraling her gear while we were in the pool. It was fine for overnight stays at hotels (and before baby could turn over), but I'd either use the hotel crib or pack a portable playard for longer trips. The mobile arch was handy for draping a thin blanket to block out light.

This is the review I wrote for the previous style of Eddie Bauer Infant Travel Bed, it was basically just a different color. When I saw this bed while registering for baby items before my son was born I just thought, "What a pointless item. Why would you need that if you already have a playpen or Pack 'n' Play?" However, after many a visit with friends and family and a cranky sleepy baby that just could not go to sleep we went to Target and bought this bed.
This is hands down, one of the BEST baby items I own. When my son was still small we just kept this compact bed in the car. Whenever we went to friends houses we would just bring this bed and set it up on the floor of a spare quiet room. Our son enjoyed having his own familiar space to sleep in. I even took it to the laundromat with me and he was able to fall asleep in it while I folded laundry.
The mattress is rather flat but my son never seemed to mind. We usually brought some spare receiving blankets to cover the mat with since the sheet it comes with is pretty cheap. It made for quicker clean up too if he spit up in the bed. The pockets on the outside are generous and I kept 5 diapers and a thin box of wipes in the pockets at all times, (which came in handy when I'd forget the diaper bag) and it still fit nicely in the zip plastic packaging it comes in. He also enjoyed the toy bar when awake, but if you plan on toting the toy bar around with you just keep the plastic bag it comes in.
I really like this bed and it is among the items that I would purchase for other new moms. I often got comments from friends with older children that they wished they had had something like this when their kids were babies. There are other portable beds on the market but I think this one is just right for the price.

This item is exactly as it is shown. I noticed that some of the other reviews complained of the hard sleep surface. I didn't really think it was that bad, but I used a wedged sleep positioner for my baby, so it has worked great. The baby sleeps just as well in it as he sleeps in his crib. He loves the mobile -except the mobile is a bit awkward to carry -there really is not a good spot to stash it. We use the travel bed in our motor home (we put it on the bed that converts from a table). The bed is big enough for the baby and small enough that we can use the motor home bed as the place for the travel bed, changing pad, and all the things the baby needs while we are gone.

I loved this thing. I used it when I went to other people's houses and I even used it outside, the baby would lay in there while I worked in the garden. Easy to set up, you could do it with one hand if you had to. My baby was never scared of it in any way. The little mattress comes with a removable sheet, makes for easy cleaning. The thing on top with the toys is not a handle, but that would have been nice, since the baby would fall asleep in there and I would have to carry it by the sides, which was cumbersome. Also, you have to put the baby in the shade if you are outside, an added bonus would have been a umbrella or visor to give the baby some shade. But, we could still go and see friends and relatives and the baby always had a comfortable place to sleep. Stopped working when the baby could roll over, then he would just roll one of the sides down and be out of there.

This is a great bed for in a camper. We have a pop-up camper and bought this bed to try it out with my 3 month old. She sleeps as good in this as she does her bed at home. We lay this on top of the bed in the camper and our 2 year old sleeps in the bed with her. Keeps her safe from his moving and inclosed in her own area. She sleeps great and it takes up no more space in an already tight living space. We love how this folds up and takes up minimal space when traveling. We've taken it to relatives houses and laid this on their bed with baby sleeping in it. Makes me less nervous than laying her on a bed with pillows around her to keep her from rolling off. The only down fall I may see in the future is that this may become a little flimsy after too many uses, as the sides velcro up on the ends. Very happy with this purchase and happy it takes up such little space.

We used this travel bed while galavanting around Europe just after our son was born. It is great as it is SO very compact and easy to set up. The pad isn't too "comfy" but he didn't seem to mind. You can actually take a pillow case and place around the pad to make it "washer friendly" as we found that was a softer option when compared to the sheet that comes with the travel bed. A good item for the price.
