5.0 out of 5 stars So much better than any highchair I've owned

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Chair, but a little low
I bought this chair for my 10 month old daughter who is big for her age. She likes to sit AT the table, so I sometimes use this chair instead of her highchair.

It is a nice chair and looks great with our kitchen table. The chair pad is great too because it is plastic instead of cloth, so it wipes off very easily. The neutral pattern works for male or...

5.0 out of 5 stars So much better than any highchair I've owned, February 16, 2006

When we found out we were pregnant with our third child, we realized that we no longer had a highchair. We live in a small apartment, and with three kids, the apartment seems even smaller, so a full-sized highchair seemed impractical. I considered a variety of products before settling on this one, and it's been absolutely perfect. My daughter loves to sit at the big table with us, but the tray is marvelous for the times when it wouldn't be practical to seat her there. I set the seat on the floor once when I was cleaning the chair it usually resides in, and my daughter crawled right over and climbed in. She loved using it as a regular seat as well. It takes up so little space and is so much less pricey than a regular highchair, but it also has more uses. I wish I had had this seat the first two times around.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOSTER!!, December 11, 2005
This review is from: Eddie Bauer 2 Level Wooden Booster Seat (Baby Product)
I bought this for my daughter as we are in between homes and without her high chair. I bought this because it is so similiar to the larger version that she has and I must say in some ways this is even better! In some ways this is better because she has more elbow room and sits higher from the tray so using a sippy cup is easier for her.

As another reviewer mentioned it is hard to secure baby while removing the tray, so I make sure the harness is super secure and I too leave the tray off the chair between feeds. The tray however does lock VERY WELL, my daughter gets a little excited sometimes and has pushed on it and it has not moved at all! The tray is also so easy to wipe down or just put in the dishwasher. I love that the cushion is a wipe down plastic, much better than cloth!

Overall it is great! I was hesitant to buy a $60 booster but I am so glad I did! I will be curious to see if we go back to the bigger high chair after two weeks with this! This will definitely be going on travels with us as well!

5.0 out of 5 stars Never even had a regular high chair!, February 16, 2006

This review is from: Eddie Bauer 2 Level Wooden Booster Seat (Baby Product)
We had originally received the full-size Eddie Bauer wooden high chair at our baby shower, but when we put it together, the legs were uneven, so we took it apart again and I took it to return it and get another because we liked the look of the wood. However, when I was in the store, the cashier suggested the booster because it had the same look, but for half the price and it took up half the space! Well, we live in a restored late 18th century farmhouse, so we really didn't have the room for a big, bulky high chair, so this booster was perfect!

The tray sits a little lower which is great for our little guy (who seems to be swallowed up by some of the bigger high chairs) and then we can also use it to pull it directly up to the table. No need for the expensive bulky high chair at all! I do leave the tray unattached when we aren't using it because it's easier to get our son in to it (since it needs two hands to attach and detach), but that isn't a big deal.

I absolutely love this chair and my son is 17 months old and we've used it since he started eating solids.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOSTER SEAT, March 16, 2006
This review is from: Eddie Bauer 2 Level Wooden Booster Seat (Baby Product)
Our daughter loves this chair! She started using this seat at 4 months. My husband and I liked the look of the chair, but had second guessed our purchase after finding out that it didn't recline. It doesn't matter that it doesn't recline, she does just fine sitting up! In fact, the chair is helping her learn to sit up! Our daughter loves sitting at the table with us! The tray is very easy to clean too! It fits nice and snug on our kitchen chair. We do not worry about it tipping over at all.

The only thing that I do not like about the booster seat is that it takes two hands to remove and return the tray.

We are all very pleased with the chair, and I am sure we will be using it for awhile! We also bought the EB highchair, but have not started using it because we have been completely satisfied with the booster seat!

5.0 out of 5 stars more useful than I expected, February 15, 2006

We use this booster without the plastic tray, so I can't comment on the issues with that since we're able to slide a dining room chair with this booster on it right up to the table. We started using this when my daughter was around 8 months old (albeit a large and sturdy 8 month old), and we've barely used her plastic high chair since. It's great to have her sitting at the table with us, it's easy to use, as others mentioned it looks great, and we've loved taking this to restaurants with us. You never know what you're going to get when you eat out, whether it's a real high chair or a booster with no straps, so we tote this along when we go out and that's worked out great. One of the best things is that since my daughter is used to sitting in this chair at the dinner table at home, she's very comfortable and well behaved when we take her out to eat. I have also especially recommended this to friends with small apartments since you can use this with your existing furniture. I know we'll get lots of use from this for years to come.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good alternative to big high chair, November 22, 2005
This review is from: Eddie Bauer 2 Level Wooden Booster Seat (Baby Product)
We use this seat instead of a full-size high chair. I like that the chair is wood and it blends in well with our regular furniture. For home use, it is great. For the extra $10-$15, it is much more aesthetically pleasing than the plastic booster seats on the market and less expensive than the low end full-size highchairs. My only complaint is that it is next to impossible to remove the tray with one hand while holding baby. I have solved that problem by leaving the tray off the chair between feedings. I have not had any trouble cleaning the chair pad or tray as long as I wipe them down immediately after feeding.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Chair, April 6, 2006
This review is from: Eddie Bauer 2 Level Wooden Booster Seat (Baby Product)
I recently purchased this chair for my toddler to make way for our new baby who will be using our old high chair. The chair is so beautiful it is the exact same color as my kitchen table set and it looks so nice and contempary. My daughter absoutely love her new chair. She loves to climb in it and eat her meals, she is so much more content since she gets to sit a the table like mommy and daddy.

4.0 out of 5 stars eddie bauer wooden booster chair, March 15, 2006

I love this chair. It is beautiful wood and sits nicely on our bar stools. My only tiny complaint is that the strapping system is a bit strange. I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this booster!, November 14, 2005
This review is from: Eddie Bauer 2 Level Wooden Booster Seat (Baby Product)
I've owned this booster seat for about two months now and I love it! The light wood matches our dining table set and I really like not having a highchair to trip over in our small kitchen anymore. It's practical and pretty! Two of my favorite characteristics. I also love the 3 point seat belt (safety is so important!)

My only compaints: The high chair pad coloring is a bit boyish, so I have never used it with my daughter, and the tray is hard to pull open while holding your baby (perhaps the design team could improve this by making the unlatch button on the front of the tray next time with a one handed operation).

Overall -it's classy, sturdy and it does the job! I'd buy it again!

5.0 out of 5 stars stand alone high chair booster seat, December 30, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Eddie Bauer 2 Level Wooden Booster Seat (Baby Product)
I bought this product over four years ago. I love the wooden build and easy to clean cover. It attaches easliy and securely to our kitchen chairs. When the child was younger we used the added height of the legs and when he was older we folded the legs under took off the tray and moved the child right up to the table. There were times we sat on the ground for picnics and this chair was awesome. VERY stable even with a wiggler.

This booster chair is on the third child!
