Bought this on clearance at a Target store for an international trip. I really loved the bag. It had a lot of room inside for it's size. I was able to pack 2 pairs of shoes and some cheap hiking boots in the bottom along with 4 pairs of blue jeans, t-shirts, polos, socks, and other garb in the top.

The zippers seemed thick and heavy. But when it arrived at my destination, one of the main zippers had become separated. This was an easy fix. And when I returned home, there was a separation tear at the stitching near the main zipper at the top of the bag. There was also a separation of the small zipper pocket on the outside. This should not have happened because there was nothing sharp inside the bag. The bag was full but it wasn't over-packed. It weighed in at 47lbs at the airport (both ways).

I was thinking if this bag can't last even one trip, I really need to find something else. Reluctantly, I took it back and now I am looking for something similar that is more durable. The concept is great. But the workmanship could use a little improvement.

This is a phenomenal product that held up to 14 days of travel in Peru in May and looked brand new when we got back. The lower section will hold Black Diamond hiking poles corner to corner, a plus for international travel. There was plenty of room for two weeks of clothes and hiking boots. Well designed and well made. Light weight for the capacity.

This was purchased to replace a stolen Eddie Bauer drop bottom duffel. I am pleased with the high quality although I believe I should have gone with the 36" model.
