Mine developed a leak not long after I got it. As with another reviewer, I can't find the leak in order to try to patch it. Needless to say, I'm not impressed with the quality. It was great while it held air, but it didn't hold up very long at all.

This product would be great if it held the air inside. Ours developed a leak not long after purchase, and due to the construction, we can't locate the leak to patch it! Eddie Bauer customer service referred me to the Target site, where it says "This item cannot be returned to a Target store; find out how to return this item to Target," which is a dead end since it wasn't an online purchase!

It says you can blow the mattress up alittle more but when you do the rivit areas pop. That is where I found the air leaking out of. It's the area where the top and bottom are rivited together. So for a quick fix when I was out on the trail I used a lighter and a hot glue stick, and rubbed the glue over the spots. It works but I had three rivit areas pop down by the feet so it is like I have a pillow for my feet because it just balloons up down there. If it didn't leak it would be fine otherwise. I'm going to bye a real camp mattress, not one made by Eddie Bauer. I should have known, what do they know about camping gear. Maybe they just made a bad batch. I just wish I could get a replacement. I found this mattress to be somewhat lumpy and uncomfortable. It inflates in a checkerboard of air pockets instead of inflating uniformly to provide even support. Uninflated it's a little bulky as well, although the attached wrap-around straps help make it easier to carry. I'd recommend a Thermarest or something else that may be more expensive, but worth it for a good night's sleep outdoors.

My first one popped a rivet after a week's use. Second one lasted another year and I was generally happy with it but it wasn't super comfortable. I liked the pillow had a separate valve so you could adjust pillow firmness. As it got older it took FOREVER to self-inflate - not a huge issue but annoying. Now it just won't stay inflated and I can't find the leak. Not buying anymore Eddie Bauer camping gear, would rather pay a little more for true premium gear.

"Get the best and cry only once" - nothing worse than having your gear go bad in the middle of nowhere...

This mat is just perfect! i happen to bring one along with me in my car always. i am a contractor and always on the go. so when i find the time, i usually take a nap on my break. i just bring it out of the car, bring it up to my office , roll it, smoke a cigarette, and its done! very easy and comfortable!

I got this off Ebay from a guy there that made it sound like this was a decent mattress. Well, when I got it I was shocked at the size of it! I didn't expect such a LARGE item! I'm a backpacker and weight is a HUGE issue. Weighing in at 5 BULKY pounds, I wasn't too impressed with it. However, after struggling to get it to fit on the bottom of my backpack, at the end of my hike, I was happy to have it to sleep on. No leaks (and I've had it for over a year), even after blowing into the valves for extra comfort. For the most part, it's a decent pad, .. if you can handle the 5 lbs of weight it adds to your pack.

I thought I was ordering an air mattress as the description described. What I received was an air mat. Air mat is lovely but not what I wanted.

We slept on ours a total of 5 nights camping and one night (for a guest in the house) before the thing developed a leak. Unlike other reviewers, I was able to find the leak - a half-inch tear in the bottom. No idea how that happened.

But bottom line - this thing stinks. As many other reviewers here found, it is about as durable as a balloon. Don't buy it!

I bought this air mattress to use on the Avon 3-day Breast Cancer Walk in Miami. 1,500 of us walked 20 miles a day for 3 days, we camped at night and my sore bones laid down on this air mattress at night (on top of chunks of coral one night!) and didn't even feel the ground. I baulked at the price but it is worth every cent. A much better mattress than the ones sold at warehouse clubs!
