I bought this seat three weeks ago because it was rated by Consumer Reports as their safest booster seat that they tested. It also got reasonably good reviews by parents who had purchased it. However, I watched a report on a national news program yesterday regarding crash tests done by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety on booster seats. Guess which seat they used as an example of the worst qualities in a poor booster seat? You got it, this one. You can go on the IIHS website and see for yourself. It is found under the "Not Recommended" category. Needless to say, this carseat is back in the box and on its way back to Amazon.

I love this booster seat! We had our 20 month old son in a Britax Roundabout, as well as, a Marathon and they both seemed to be getting a bit snug for him. They sit up very high from the main seat of the car and he was hitting his head on the roof of our Landcruiser and Ridgeline nearly each time he got in his seat. I went on an exhaustive search of comparing seats and reading reviews and this one offered everything I was looking for: 3 reclining positions, pivoting armrests, 5pt harness and a low profile. I have no complaints. Originally, we tried the new Eddie Bauer Bryant Collection adjustable car sear and it sat up so upright, it was uncredibly uncomfortable. This is by far the absolute best! We have since bought 2 more for my husband's car and Grandmas. Highly recommend!

My daughter loves this car seat, and it is my favorite as well (we have 4 different models). I don't understand how the inability of one car seat to latch in one person's car makes this car seat unreliable as a whole. Mine latches great, and is done quickly, under 2 minutes. I've also had it inspected by a car seat specialist who said it is a great seat, and was installed properly.

I liked this chair a lot but returned it for one reason... I have a bigger than average 3 year old son and the strap-clip between his legs was too far back on the seat. I had to dig it out from beneath him and even then, the straps were tight on his thighs. If it is small now, it never would have lasted up to 100 pounds (he is only 32 pounds now).

I did a fair amount of online research before selecting this product. Price was a secondary factor. Primarily I was concerned with safety, size, and comfort.
I bought this car seat for my 14-month daughter, who was petite. I feel the smallest buckle settings are working well. The reclining feature is very useful. I didnt' think the armrests would make a difference since she is too small, but she likes to hold on to them at times.
I have an elantra touring (car) and with the car seat in the middle console/armrest can still be brought down for use. two petite adults can comfortably sit in the back as well for short trips.
Cup holder I find useless; though it might help when my daughter is older.

I don't like this seat at all. It is not user-friendly. We had been using Britax car seats, but I didn't want to spend as much money this time. Yet, this car seat feels so awkward and clumsy. The clasps take a lot more effort than my other car seats, and it's even difficult pulling the straps tight ~ not impossible, but it takes a lot more energy. We have another booster for my 5 year old in our other car, and I like that seat a lot more (from Costco). I don't recommend this seat at all; I wish I could get rid of it. It's funny, because the Costco seat was less expensive, but it's obvious that it's a higher quality seat.

This review is for model 22-862-BGLE, manufactured 2008. The harness strap on first one I received became irretrievably jammed in the locking mechanism by the second day -- by the time I got out the strap was so badly frayed it was unusable. Returned it for another one, which was not much better. We've been careful enough to avoid getting it stuck again, but the harness strap jams so easily that its nearly impossible to tighten the harness properly.

I bought this for my 18 month old grandson so we would have a car seat in our van at all times. It has been a success on many levels: Julian is able to sleep and just relax with the seat reclined, which is easy to adjust. Actually, all the adjustments are fast and efficient; so if he's wearing a heavy coat, we can loosen the shoulder straps to make him more comfortable, for instance. The cup holder is not convenient yet but will be fine as he grows. We researched car seats for a long time and were happy to find this one at AMAZON: good price and a nice color, too.

Good Car seat for the money, my daughter loves it and looks very comfy in it. We all love that the arm rests go up and down making it easy to get her in and out. At first i did have some trouble opening the buckles one handed (a must for all busy moms) but I got better at it and the buckles seemed to get a little broken in making it easier. The biggest draw back, is when my daughter goes to sleep her head flops forward, it seems to be getting better as she gets used to her seat, but the head rest does come forward from the shoulders which is not a great way to rest your head while asleep. A good shoulder/neck pillow should do the trick though.

The seat is great. We have this one and an Eddie Bauer that we bought for double the price at Babies 'r us and I honestly can't tell the difference. The color is a nice slate blue (greyish) with a black "trim" and it looks great in a black car interior
