Editorial Reviews

CD-R, Digitally remastered edition of this live release from the Jazz pianist. Eddie beat fellow Latino musician Trini Lopez to the punch when it came to recording hit live albums at PJ's - this one hit #31 in 1962! Includes one of his signature numbers, "Watusi Walk". Hot stuff, long out of print!

I used to have this on vinyl and loved it. I kind of get frustrated as time goes on and no one (or few) know or even care who Eddie Cano is/was. This is a fun project and it's worth getting into and enjoy. Cano was in "Nutty Professor" - the masterpiece film with Jerry Lewis (his was the band at the Purple Pit). If Jerry obviously knew he was great, you should too! For some reason, Cano just never made it really big. Well, it is what it is. Enjoy the time and the fun compositions. Sit back, sip a martini and swing!

If you like Jazz Piano, you will love this album. I believe it was recorded in the '60's, but the quality in excellent. I'm not a huge jazz fan, but I listen to this album frequently.
