Format: Paperback
Behind the gleaming surfaces of shiny American cars and tree-lined suburban streets lies a dysfunction that runs deep, and this is reflected in the Fitz family. Set during the Vietnam War era, this novel is charged with powerful imagery, colorful descriptions, and wild, difficult characters. The protagonist, Eddie Fitz, is a bit of a tragic hero, which Aristotle contests "has to be a man who is eminently good and just, whose misfortune is brought about not by vice or depravity, but by some error or frailty." Definitely worth a read.

This book is a wild ride...worth every minute. Eddie Fitz is caught up in a whirlwind of confusion and betrayal that has become his life. The story has unexpected turns and a great cast of flawed yet compelling characters that are easy to get attached to. good story...good characters. Kept me interested thru the end.
