Personally, i don't think Eddie Izzard is better than he is in Dressed to Kill. However, for fans of Eddie, this is a very solid performance. It was done in 1994, but none of the material is dated as he focuses more on universal things (like Star Trek) than on topical things.

The audio sounds a bit tinny, as if they were recording from the speakers (the audio on later performances is much better).

That aside, being that its an older show, you might not have heard some of these jokes. You also get to have a look at how Mr. Izzard's shtick has developed, though it was very funny even then.

This is right up there with "Dressed to Kill". It is a great addition to any Eddie Izzard library. Yes, the sound is not that great, but well worth the purchase. I have watched this one over and over again, it is that funny. The man is so quick with his wit and so intelligent that together he would be hard to go up against in a conversation of any subject. He has an amazing mind. He is definitely one of the best!

Those familiar with Eddie Izzard's relaxed, stream-of-consciousness style will find this performance enjoyable. Newcomers will take a few moments to adjust to it though, as Izzard's English material (a line about Devon gets a big laugh) and transvestitism may throw them a bit.

This is a 1994 show, and even then, Izzard's "Star Trek" material must have been dated. But the man is so affable, by the time he's talking about different settings for phasers, you're chuckling in spite of yourself. Other bits are even more far-fetched: If bees make honey, why don't earwhigs make chutney? Good stuff.

HOT TIP: Izzard has a tendency to mumble, and some of his best lines are barely audible asides, so turn the subtitles "on."

I've tried to explain Eddie Izzard to people who haven't seen him, and there's just no way you can capture that particular mix of smarts, physical humor, and witty junctures, while mixing in his image as an out transvestite. What an original. It's no wonder he is huge with his fans.

I've seen later shows and probably laughed louder, but this West End performance from earlier in his career, 1994, does not disappoint. Made from a single performance (rather than assembled from the best parts of several), there are moments that don't quite work, but given Izzard's style of delivery, these are even comic and you wouldn't want to miss them.

Often compared to the brilliance of Robin Williams, Izzard is all himself and nobody else. This particular DVD actually has a commentary of Izzard talking about his own performance (recorded about 10 years later) and a silly "trivia commentary" with odd facts about the subject matter he is discussing, e.g., that in Holland it is illegal to shop in a grocery store without a cart? (That can't be true. . .)

I admit, the audio on this DvD is of low quality, but if all you are doing is watching it there shoulden't be a problem hearing what Izzard is saying. Before I saw this I would have said that Dressed to Kill or Glorious was the mans best show but this one takes that cake. The dog fetching the stick part had me laughing so hard my step-father came in my room to ask if I was ok, and I have never had him do that before over anything. If possible I would have given this a 10/5!

I thoroughly enjoyed this show and I give Eddie and the content five stars, but whoever was responsible for the audio recording should be drawn and quartered. It is very difficult to hear a good bit of what is being said and I found myself constantly raising the TV volume, and even "rewound" the DVD to try and catch a couple of parts on a second go-round. Lousy soundtrack aside, I will be adding this DVD to my collection. The great comedy outshines the problem.

I had bought DTK & Glorious previously and became an Eddie fanatic and bought this one too. As previous reviews have stated though not to the high standards of DTK & Glorious still well worth the purchase. If you are feeling down put on Eddie and I guarrantee you'll feel better.

If doesn't come close to Dressed to Kill, but since I hadn't watched that one for at least a year, Unrepeatable was very funny. We enjoyed Eddie's wonderful sense of humor as always.

Eddie Izzard can do no wrong in my estimation. He is the funniest man alive!
