3.0 out of 5 stars Fun but totally unrealistic, July 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Eden Burning (Mass Market Paperback)
I know it wasn't supposed to be a work of art, but it made me laugh with her "lush" descriptions of the caribbean. It reminded me of Barbara Cartland, with a better plot. Anyway, it was fun to read, and I would recommend it to someone who wanted to read something light.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read., June 30, 1999

I havn't quite finished this book but I am enjoying it. The characters are brought to life and you can feel the emotions. Lush descriptions of Caribbean as well as wise insights into the aftermath of slavery, bigotry and power.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eden Burning, September 10, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Eden Burning (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book when it first came out and never forgot it. I reread it recently and appreciated it even more. I became each character--knowing, feeling their experiences. I am saving my copy as a gift for my beloved granddaughter. She is just 4 now, but what a "world" Belva Plain has given us!
