5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Marinading! April 16, 2013

I do a lot of wok cooking and I use this mirin as one of several ingredients when I marinade flank steak. I've tried other types of wine, but find I prefer this one. The difference in flavor is noticeable. I only use about a splash or two at a time on (at most) a pound of meat. And I use the marinade in the cooking as well. At that rate, the bottle is good for a fair amount of meals.

This is a great Mirin, but I wish it was a little cheaper. Taste is very good and makes good sauces.

1.0 out of 5 stars $20 for a little bottle of rice wine? Hello? March 21, 2012
By jumpy1
Okay, decent drinking wines are $20 for larger bottles! What gives? And don't tell me it's because it's organic and because it's for Japanese cooking. This is the USA where people cook all kinds of ethnic food and they use lots of mirin, when they can find it. Btw you can find this exact bottle of Eden Mirin for 1/2 this price and free shipping, elsewhere.
