The Knowledge of Good and Evil 666,
This review is from: Eden: The Knowledge of Good and Evil 666 (Paperback)
I enjoyed this book. It fits well with other End Time books, but this one attempts to show the seeds of Evil from the garden to the end of the age. [which is quite a task] I liked the latter parts better than the beginning; Part 6 was very enlightening. My problem with Joye's book is that she presents so much detailed information without ever giving any proof or hardly any documentation. For a book with these kinds of conclusions in it to have much impact, the reader should be able to have facts that are verifible. How did she get her information? She certainly doesn't give the reader any check and balance referrences. I think a book like this should have had many referrences, quotes by others, and footnotes. Many opinions were presented as if they were cold hard facts. She speculates but doesn't tell her reader that she is doing so. I would recommend this book to others. Her section about the anti-christ is a real thought provoker.

A Must-Read,

What is truly amazing about this work is how specific Dr. Pugh is concerning supernatural events both ancient and current and how they are related to one another in the grand scheme of human history. Going back to the beginning of time to the Garden of Eden, thru history to the present day and near future, Dr. Pugh ties together the relationship between fallen angels/demons, the flood of Genesis, ancient megalithic structures, crop circles, animal mutilations, alien abductions/UFOs, the Shroud of Turin and the rise of the Antichrist and shows how these specific events are connected in a sinister plan that culminates in the complete fulfillment of Biblical prophecy put forth in the sacred scriptures of the Judao Christian faith. I couldn't put this book down. Referencing various ancient texts, historical and modern documents/records and the King James Bible, Dr. Pugh has done her research, leaving no stone unturned in her quest for the truth. The facts and evidence which she uncovers are astonishing. This is a must-read for anyone who is interested in understanding the big picture of prophectic events - past, present, and more importantly, the future.

Very Interesting!,

The author presents some very interesting views. However, she does build many of her notions upon very flimsy stretches and does not provide proof for many assumptions. I saw this same lack of scholarly accountability in Tex Marre's book, which she quotes from several times. I'm not saying the author is wrong but she could do a much better job of demonstrating why she thinks that she is correct in her theories.

An Mix of Biblical Doctrine, Legends, and Speculation,

This review is from: Eden: The Knowledge of Good and Evil 666 (Paperback)
In my opinion, this book is potentially dangerous for any Christian who is not intimately familiar with the Word of God. Joye Pugh has placed the false teachings of Freemasonry, esotericists, Illuminati, occult groups on equal footing with Scripture, and subsequently attempted to blend these untrustworthy teachings with the teaching of the Bible. Thus, she has mixed the Sacred (The Bible) with the profane (these other false teachings). In doing so, she has undermined the veracity and all-sufficiency of Scripture, and ultimately the veracity of God. For instance, she holds that Satan was the father of Cain by Eve [an occult teaching], that Ham was the stepson son of Noah (and descendant of Cain - not Noah's direct son) [an occult / Masonic teaching], and that Melchizedek was a Nephilim, etc. If we cannot trust the Scriptures at face value, what/who can Christians truly trust? These views (and many others) cannot even be fairly called "Biblical speculation;" they are direct contradictions of God's Word. Furthermore, she misses the whole point in the Book of Hebrews that Melchizedek was a type of Christ...Christ is a priest after the Order of Melchizedek which replaced the Levitical priesthood. God the Father says of Christ in Psalm 110:4, "The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind, 'Thou art a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.'" Although there are insights in this book, nevertheless, this book is the result of weaving the Biblical account with false Masonic / Occult / Illuminist legends and Pugh's own plethora of speculations. A Christian must tread lightly in areas that the Bible does not tell us everything, but at the same time, a Christian has no right to fill these areas with untrustworthy occult legends, stories, etc. Many things that Pugh discusses that do not directly broach the Biblical account such as the New World Order, megalithic structures, antichrist theories, UFOs, the global satanic conspiracy do have a great deal of merit. I appreciate Pugh's insights in these areas, but not her re-interpretation of Scripture. Due to the fact that quite a few of her interpretations of the Biblical account directly contradict God's Word, I cannot rate this book very highly.

though intriguing, this book is more of a collection of her own ideas based on sketchy references. the basis for the information in the meat of the book is on what is not explained in the bible. it just feeds off one's inquisitions that aren't readily answered from the nkj or niv bibles. if you're in to this topic try to find a reference to Samael in a bible before wasting your time - any bible or omitted book of the bible. if you do let me know.

"Great Concepts Marred By Faulty Research"
Book Review of: "EDEN - The Knowledge of Good and Evil," by Dr. Joye Pugh By Helena Lehman Like Dr. Joye Pugh, I have had many questions about the past, and have done quite a bit of research in an effort to answer the questions I had concerning the origins of our faith in the one Creator God Yahweh Elohim and the evidence that He has always been active in mankind's affairs and visible within human history since the beginning of time. Unlike Joye, however, my research has taken me into many different areas of scientific and religious study. In the process, God has shown me the sacred origin and meaning of many ancient and arcane symbols and sciences and has opened my spirit to understand the most ancient extra biblical Judeo-Christian writings available to us today. In the process, I have written a book series that goes deeper than Joye Pugh's book. Though Joye and I have similar notions about the origins and evil nature of the fallen angels and their giant Nephilim offspring, my research has led me to see different things than Joye. I believe this was because her field of study was narrower. My book series covers the same ground as Joye's, but with far more references and detail. I also explore the amazing cosmic origins of mankind's knowledge of God before the Bible and Holy Spirit were readily available to everyone. This knowledge of God was encapsulated in the allegorical images attached to the 48 constellations of the ancient Zodiac as well as in the writings of Enoch, the seventh antediluvian patriarch in the line of Seth whose wisdom has been partly preserved for mankind in the Ethiopian Book of 1 Enoch and the Slavonic Book of the Secrets of Enoch. Knowing the sacred origins of mankind's most primitive religious beliefs and knowing how they were twisted and perverted by lies and half truths and polluted by gross idolatry and fornication by the Nephilim and fallen angels, I have had to call some of Joye's ideas in her main thesis into question. For example, the Bible - which supersedes and is superior to all other written religious and historical literature - makes it clear that the physical world that Yahweh God created and placed Adam and Eve in was originally good, not evil. Furthermore, it states that Cain was Adam's son, not the devil's spawn, and though Eve sinned by desiring to become a god, she was not an adulteress. But the prophecy in Genesis 3:15 of the Seed of the Woman and the Seed of the Serpent would still be fulfilled with Seth providing the pure human lineage that would lead to the birth of the pure Seed of the Woman, Yahshua the Messiah. Meanwhile, the line of Cain would lead to the half-alien (i.e. demonic) seed of the Serpent being born through Namaah, the wicked antediluvian daughter of Lamech the Cainite who became the consort in lust of Azazel, the fallen angel known to us as Lucifer, the Devil or Satan. In addition, to showing this as the true origin of the Nephilim giants that hated mankind and contaminated the human gene pool with alien blood and ideas, I also show through my study of Sacred Astronomy and how it is linked to the Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza in Egypt and Teotihuacán in Mexico that civilization and science are not the products of evil angels and Nephilim but the products of righteous men with a sacred purpose who operated in league with and were protected by the holy angels who never sinned as well as by God's Holy Spirit. Joye also fails to recognize that not all of the Watcher angels that were sent to Earth by God during the time of Enoch the Sethite's father Jared lusted after women or perverted God's truth and creation. As a result she demonizes just about every aspect of civilization as we know it and seems to think God intended mankind to live like the Native Americans did prior to the advent of the White Man. Though living without technology or huge cities "polluting" the natural landscape has some appeal as we see the greedy excesses and disgusting pollution and environmental destruction evident in our world, this does not mean that all aspects of modern civilization are tainted with the supposedly Nephilim and fallen Watcher spawned ideas that the ancient Pagan Greeks and Romans loved. Though pastoral simplicity is appealing to some of us, my research has led me to partly refute Joye's idea of the primordial view of Paradise as a rather "Amish" world full of technology-free small towns and farms intermingled with and virtually inseparable from the natural world's vast expanses of wilderness. All one has to do to refute it is read about the great wealth and magnificent architecture and city planning surrounding the Millennial Kingdom Temple to Yahweh in the Book of Ezekiel. In addition, there is no doubt that the Book of Revelation's New Jerusalem is going to be an immense, beautifully planned and constructed city that will replace the Millennial Kingdom's Jerusalem and Temple one day. The New Jerusalem will be a city constructed by God with His angels and saints that will far surpass the grandeur and beauty of anything made by fallen men or fallen angels or demons, and it will have a magnificent Temple in its center where God will dwell forever in the Person of Yahshua Ha Mashiach. Where my books differ most markedly from Joye Pugh's are in focus. Much of Joye's book discusses the modern effects and workings of the Nephilim or Serpent bloodline through organizations like the Freemasons. She discusses Masonic rituals in relation to occult dealings in our world today and shows how alien abductions, crop circles and other strange anomalies are tied to the clandestine activities of the demonic spirits of the Nephilim and the mostly "human" hybrid descendents of the Nephilim. She also shows how many people working in government institutions and political leaders are either descendents of the original Serpent bloodlines or are working for them. Though this focus on the present is interesting and informative, my books expose the truth that all the greatest sacred traditions and spiritual ideas of Classical Paganism, the Illuminati and Nephilim bloodlines are the debased, twisted, stolen and perverted ruins of a totally pure and unadulterated source: the Gospel in the Stars found preserved in the 48 most ancient constellations of the Zodiac or Mazzaroth. The allegorical symbols tied to the ancient constellations have not changed appreciably over the years, and - when stripped of their Pagan veneer - reveal pure Biblical truths that are almost totally centered on the Person, work and purpose of Yahshua, the Son of God and King of kings. In addition, the evil serpent and dragon symbols in the heavens are always shown in subjection to or being defeated by Yahshua and His saints. Much Zodiac symbolism is also evident in the Bible's Old and New Testament prophetic literature and these prophecies aren't easily understood without the Star Gospel to illuminate their meaning. The story in the heavens is that, through Yahshua, the whole world and the Universe it is in will one day be completely free of wickedness and evil, and those saints who worship Yahweh in spirit and in truth will reign and rule with Christ over all the Earth one day soon after the coming Tribulation - when Satan will have his day. But the glorious Millennial Kingdom of Christ on Earth that will follow the destruction and death of the Tribulation will gladden the heart and dry every tear of countless multitudes of resurrected and immortal saints! Praise Yahweh for His goodness and His promised Kingdom and the New Heaven and New Earth that will replace it one day! I am truly looking forward to the time when all mankind will love God and one another just as Yahshua came to teach us to do. I bought this book and read it. If you read it, and you're a Christian, make sure you have a firm grasp of the scriptures. One of the doctrines advocated in this book is the Serpent Seed Doctrine. The doctrine that Eve mated with the serpent, or with Satan, to produce Cain. This doctrine has been taught in various forms for thousands of years, and it finds its earliest expression in Gnostic writings (e.g., the Gospel of Philip) and especially in Manichaean doctrines; however, it has been soundly rejected by modern theologians as well as mainstream Christian theologians such as Irenaeus [13] in the 2nd century, and St. Augustine in the 4th century. I gave this book one star solely because it should cause Christians to pick up their Bibles to understand whether or not the doctrines presented hold up to solid scholarship and scrutiny.

The book started well with a description of what happened in Eden, Adam's sons, the fallen angels, the Dragon bloodline...topics that are recently taken up by many authors. The problem is that Dr. Pugh, who claims to be a reborn Christian, quotes a lot certain writers such as Zecharia Sitchin, Lynn Picknett who are known for their unusual theories, but at the same time serious researchers, while she is herself very biased and Bible oriented. She should not quote these writers at all as they contradict her.
She goes on and on against Satan and his followers who include the Secret Societies as well as all the religions other than her church, the builders of all the great structures (doesn't she live in a house herself?if she follows God's words, then she should live in a grass hut),the Jews, the Essenes, the Templars, the Pope, etc. She even calls the Muslim "pagans". Wow! I wouldn't dare. No wonder they call Christians Infidels and America Satan's country because of the love of materiality that is so prevalent. I noticed a few errors too. She mentions the Holy Shroud of Turin as a real relic, however recent scientific studies seem to prove the opposite, the cloth coming from the Middle Ages. She mentions lots of legends as true facts: Mary Magdelene died at the Sainte Beaume in AD63...really? I lived near that place for a long time, never heard about it. The "Protocols of the Learned Elders of Sion" is not recognised by historians as a real document but anti-Jew propaganda. She calls God Jehovah all along the book, however God is named Elohim (a plural) in Genesis. That would be too hard to explain, so better not mention it. She writes that the number 8 belongs to Satan. But isn't Jesus' number 888(IESUS in Greek) as opposed to 666 for the Antichrist? She denounces illumination and science all throughout the book, but did God really want us to remain Neanderthals? And isn't Dr Pugh using a computer to write her book and the internet to sell it? Didn't she put her photo on the back cover?(The Muslims and the Jews observe the 2nd commandment more than reborn Christians, it seems) So sometimes progress isn't that bad, is it. In the end isn't the intention more important than the invention? To summarise great topics that could have made a best-seller, but not objctively researched.

Science can complement spirituality,
By MRM90 (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eden: The Knowledge of Good and Evil 666 (Paperback)
Very interesting book, but I disagree with parts of it. Science is not at odds with spirituality, only mainstream science is. Real, unbiased science and spirituality can complement each other in wonderous ways. I think the Rainbow traveller is right, the number 8 doesn't belong to Satan. A scientist by the name of Albert Roy Davis discovered that magnetism flows around a magnet in a figure eight pattern, and that the North and South polarities reverse polarity at the center of the magnet in a broken figure eight pattern. He also found that human cells divide in a figure eight, planets are born in a figure eight, and the human zygote forms in a figure eight. The center of the broken figure eight of magnetism appears to be a portal of some sort. I think the spirit (and possibly all matter) enters and exits the material reality through this figure eight. Since God created the Universe, God created the figure eight. I do agree with the author about the pineal gland being associated with the soul. Another discovery by Albert Roy Davis is that when the pineal gland is exposed to North pole magnetic energy, psychic abilities are increased. Davis also discovered that animals that are exposed to North pole magnetic energy prior to birth or while very young grow up to be smaller, more intelligent, and they live longer than normal. South pole exposed animals grow up to be larger, less intelligent, and they can live longer too, but only if they are kept separated from the opposite sex. Otherwise, they will mate continually, and as a result die prematurely. The North and South poles have a similar effect on us as adults, but ongoing exposure is needed to obtain results. For a perfect blend of science and spirituality, I recommend reading the books by Albert Roy Davis and Walter C. Rawls, Jr. Some of the notable people that have had a serious interest in the work of Davis and Rawls were Buckminster Fuller, Harold Sherman, and Norman Vincent Peale. There were many more, I just wanted to establish the fact that Davis and Rawls were brilliant scientists and many highly regarded professionals recongnized that. I'm in agreement "the Servant Warrior" that certain ideas in the book could be backed up a little better. I agree about Texe Marr too. I have read,"Mysterious Monuments", which is a very interesting book, but Texe states in it that astrology is a pseudoscience. There are various forms of energy that planets and stars radiate outward, and they absolutely do have an effect on us. I think that anyone who reads the book, "The Secret Language of Birthdays", by Gary Goldschneider and Joost Elffers, will be forced to believe in astrology, but then, there are people who refuse to accept the truth even when it stares them in the face. |
