I am pleased and pleasantly surprised at the sound for such a small cabinet.

While this cabinet may seem more like a cute toy model than a serious piece of equipment, it's actually quite impressive.

Just played an outside gig on a main street in town , and this cabinet was absolutely perfect.

For those who have physical issues (age, pain, etc) and are tired of lugging heavy gear, please consider this product. This cab is *amazing*-BIG sound-clear, and probably the richest low end for a quality bass sound that I have ever heard...sorry, Peavey :( . Just played an outside gig on a main street in town , and this cabinet was absolutely perfect. Almost unbelievable !!

To start with, I own a lot of very expensive, top end bass gear and have been playing for 40 years. While this cabinet may seem more like a cute toy model than a serious piece of equipment, it's actually quite impressive. First, you need to have reasonable expectations for a single 10" speaker in a cabinet this small and light. You also need to agree that it's pretty rare to need a 412 or 810 cab to play with an acoustic trio in a small room or in an acoustic jam session in a living room or basement.

The cab's speaker is rated for 300 Watts at 6 ohms (I know the add says 4 Ohms, but the sticker on the cab says 6 Ohms), so most any of the newer Class D light weight heads will power it with no problem (but they will not do 2 of these cabs unless they can run lower than a 4 Ohm load - and most Class D bass amps cannot - if you want to run 2 cabs, get the 8 Ohm version).

While you won't be keeping up with loud drummers or guitarists with half stacks, you'll be amazed at the sound quality and volume this thing can produce. It is very even across the full range of bass frequencies. To my surprise, it is not the least bit shy in the low range (I play 4 string bass, not sure how it would do on low B for you five string folks) and handles the higher frequencies quite well for a single driver cab (there is no separate high frequency transducer, so don't expect sparkle, sheen or presence like you'd get in a multiple-driver cab). I find the sound to be very nice with a passive or active bass - it's touch reminiscent of old school sealed cabs.

This thing is great for practicing alone, relatively quiet rehearsals or coffee house type gigs with a couple guitars and PA support for vocals.

Bought it for my Ashdown CTM-15, but sounds great with my Ampeg SVT, too. I am pleased and pleasantly surprised at the sound for such a small cabinet. One could argue a larger cabinet would be worth looking at, but I was needing the smallest physical size I could find.

I'm using this as a satellite speaker for a small markbass combo and am very pleased with it's sound and size.

Heavier than expected, but great as my monitor with the rhythm section. Using it for string bass and electric, using a
GK MB200.
