Serial entrepreneur David Doty, an independent organizational management consultant, has thirty years combined small business ownership, management, and institutional administrative experience across multiple industries. His work experience includes fourteen years as a three-time small business owner. David received an Master of Arts degree in World Mission and Evangelism from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2006.
David has served on the boards of three not-for-profits, two of which had business themes incorporated into their charitable activities as self-sustaining entities, including one in retail (U.S.) and one in public education (India).
In 2012, he joined the Lausanne Conference's Global Business-as-Mission Think Tank with primary foci in theological issues and in BAM advocacy and mobilization in the North American context.
David currently co-hosts a bi-monthly small group for entrepreneurs in conjunction with the employment transitions ministry (C3G) of North Point Community Church of Alpharetta, GA, and posts articles, somewhat randomly, related to the integration of Christian faith and economics on his blog at www.edensbridge.org.
He is also currently writing daily Bible devotions for a mobile app entitled "Beyond Bible Devotion" available for Android and iPhone ($2.99). This app delves more deeply into the meaning of the contexts and words of the Bible. Average length of each devotional is about 600-700 words.
