ABOUT THE AUTHOR
James Mullaney is an astronomy writer, lecturer and consultant who has published more than 700 articles and eight books on observing the wonders of the heavens, and logged over 20,000 hours of stargazing time with the unaided eye, binoculars and telescopes. Formerly Curator of the Buhl Planetarium & Institute of Popular Science in Pittsburgh, and Director of the DuPont Planetarium at USCA, he served as staff astronomer at the University of Pittsburgh's Allegheny Observatory and as an editor for Sky & Telescope magazine. One of the contributors to Carl Sagan's award-winning "Cosmos" PBS-Television series, his work has received recognition over the years from such notables (and fellow stargazers) as Sir Arthur Clarke, Johnny Carson, Ray Bradbury, Dr. Wernher von Braun, and former student NASA scientist/astronaut Dr. Jay Apt. His 50 year mission as a "celestial evangelist" has been to "Celebrate the Universe!" - to get others to look up at the majesty of the night sky and to personally experience the joys of stargazing. In recognition of his work he has been elected a Fellow of the prestigious Royal Astronomical Society of London. For information on his two professionally-produced, widely-acclaimed DVDs "The Heavens Declare!" and "Celebrating the Universe!", contact him at arcturussj@aol.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb book, Sublime Lecturer, October 12, 2009
By
Thomas F. Lawson (Virginia Beach, Va.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Edgar Cayce and the Cosmos (Paperback)
I had never heard of Dr. Mullaney until this weekend and then was treated to about three hours of the most enlightening, uplifting and engrossing information
about what Dr. Mullaney is attempting to share with us; that there IS a "Divine Order' of the Cosmos. He 'lit up' the lecture(s) was similarly uplifting as
listening to Celine Dion sing. Both 'voices' are the 'Music of the Spheres' and therefore, simply 'Divine'. His 'data' about the universe and its inherent order are simply mind boggling.
For any 'seeker', seeking to 'see' the order beyond the apparent chaos of the universe, the book and the speaker are unmatched.
If your eyes are clouded by doubt as to the glories of the cosmos, then by reading, watching, listening to Mullaney may, at last, allow you 'to truly see the light'.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cayce and the Cosmos Review, May 10, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Edgar Cayce and the Cosmos (Paperback)
Well referenced and accurately categorized, but a bit too mysterious to be able to apply to today's current events. Perhaps more effort should have been spent interpreting his references, putting a more definite time frame on them and attempting to correlate them both to each other and to upcoming major world changes. Maybe I am expecting too much. My standard for clarity and insightful preparation for the future is The Urantia Book. This book is helpful for Cayce enthusiasts, but The Urantia Book is more practical and all-inclusive for preparing for the future.
