GREATER AWARENESS !! UNDERSTANDING HERE, April 28, 2006
I have read other books by authors that have compiled Edgar Cayce's material. In comparison, Jeffery Furst has done a great job here. I love this book!!! It strengthened my awareness and understanding on the human race and our relationship with the Creator, Jesus, Angels and many others. I truly felt more love in my heart for self and others, our connectedness, Law Of The One.
I was raised a Catholic, graduated from a Catholic college. And indeed it was the education that I received that shook my foundations of what I "know" as truth. I am still a Catholic today.
I highly reccomend this book. For persons who have not read very much of Cayce's material > it may seem a bit disjointed at first (his readings) but be patient, the flow after a while will begin to make sense. Seasoned readers of Cayce's materials can jump right into this one and get the point very easily.
The book start with Genesis, the real genesis before Adam and Eve's time. This is going back to the time of Atlantis and beyond. It enlightens the reader about the "First Thought Projections" upon the earth (soul forms) made from the Creator. How the angelic beings became en-meshed with human forms of all kinds (animal, plants, mamals and ets.) Proceeding to how other Thought Forms (souls) entered the earth to help release the en-meshed forms. That is just the beginning. After that, Adam and Eve are made by the Creator to perfect the image of his likeness and to inherit the earth.
Essentially, says Cayce, through-out our life our life purpose is to LOVE and HELP each other as we are all "Projected Thought Forms" Our form today is the resulting God Created image. We must all remember where we come from > The Creator - God > the One God. It is our job to remember thus and grow towards the beings of light that we truly are.
Cayce further talks about where the five races came from: the White People are from Carparthia, the Yellow Poeple are from the Gobi area, The Red People are from Atlantean & America, Brown People are from the Andean and the Black People are from the Plain and the Sudan or in the African.
Jeffery Furst begins his compilation of Cayce's material from the Genesis to gain a foundation for the bulk of material that is written; namely the story of Jesus.
It is true that when we love another, we want to know and understand that person (s) in every way possible, we want to be good to that person, giving and kind. That's the way this book is written, Furst put together as much material as possible so that we could understand and fully grasp in a much greater reality and tangibility of the the Living Christ, every day/night.
Cayce was ahead of his time for the area that he lived. I am certain Orthodox Christian people found it very hard to accept his purpose in life, one of assisting others toward God through his gift of "readings." It is said that in all great visionaries, and certainly this can be applied to Christ, that there is a three step stage > 1. First there is Ridicule, 2. second there is Opposition and 3. finally Acceptance!
Thank you, MK

This could be the most enlightening book you will ever read., March 4, 2001
This is it. This is the most enlightening book I have ever read. The author excerpts from the voluminous information provided by Edgar Cayce the information pertinent to Jesus Christ. He compiles it into a single volume and tries to help you make sense of these bits and pieces given by Cayce over decades. I can't wait to read it again. But I warn you, this is not for everyone. You have to be prepared for what you will learn. The prerequisite is a belief beyond a shadow of a doubt that every word revealed through the Cayce "readings" came from the spiritual world. If you are not there yet, you are wasting your time with this book, you won't believe what you read. It is true that the teacher will teach when the student is ready. If you are on a personal Search for God I encourage you to read "There is a River" and other books about Cayce. Once you have read enough to become convinced of Cayce's incredible accuracy in diagnosing and prescribing remedies for otherwise incurable illnesses; once you become a believer, you are then ready to read this. Your reward will be an enlightened insight into the life (or dare I say plural and give some of it away) of Jesus Christ. Much of the information provided corroborates and further explains that which is in the Bible. Read them both and your Search for God will be blessed with the truth, the light, and the way. No one comes to the Father except through Him. Eat of His flesh, Drink of His blood, for he is truly the bread of life. The spirit gives life, the flesh counts for nothing. The words He has spoken to us are SPIRIT, and they are life (John,6).

Interesting, but disjointed, April 28, 2000
The author presents information from the Edgar Cayce "readings" which have to do with Jesus and who he was. Essentially, additional details are given about his birth, childhood, ministry, death and resurrection. Cayce's unique spin on the Christian message is blended in and it's very fascinating.
The trouble is that the book relies too much on the "readings" themselves which are somewhat obtuse, instead of just explaining to us what was meant and in what context it applies. The result is that the individual parts of the book don't really blend together into a whole and a lot of questions are left unanswered.
Nevertheless, it presents an interesting spin on Jesus and made me want to read more Cayce-related information.
