5.0 out of 5 stars GREATER AWARENESS !! UNDERSTANDING HERE, April 28, 2006

This review is from: Ec Story Of Jesus (Paperback)
I have read other books by authors that have compiled Edgar Cayce's material. In comparison, Jeffery Furst has done a great job here. I love this book!!! It strengthened my awareness and understanding on the human race and our relationship with the Creator, Jesus, Angels and many others. I truly felt more love in my heart for self and others, our connectedness, Law Of The One.

I was raised a Catholic, graduated from a Catholic college. And indeed it was the education that I received that shook my foundations of what I "know" as truth. I am still a Catholic today.

I highly reccomend this book. For persons who have not read very much of Cayce's material > it may seem a bit disjointed at first (his readings) but be patient, the flow after a while will begin to make sense. Seasoned readers of Cayce's materials can jump right into this one and get the point very easily.

The book start with Genesis, the real genesis before Adam and Eve's time. This is going back to the time of Atlantis and beyond. It enlightens the reader about the "First Thought Projections" upon the earth (soul forms) made from the Creator. How the angelic beings became en-meshed with human forms of all kinds (animal, plants, mamals and ets.) Proceeding to how other Thought Forms (souls) entered the earth to help release the en-meshed forms. That is just the beginning. After that, Adam and Eve are made by the Creator to perfect the image of his likeness and to inherit the earth.

Essentially, says Cayce, through-out our life our life purpose is to LOVE and HELP each other as we are all "Projected Thought Forms" Our form today is the resulting God Created image. We must all remember where we come from > The Creator - God > the One God. It is our job to remember thus and grow towards the beings of light that we truly are.

Cayce further talks about where the five races came from: the White People are from Carparthia, the Yellow Poeple are from the Gobi area, The Red People are from Atlantean & America, Brown People are from the Andean and the Black People are from the Plain and the Sudan or in the African.

Jeffery Furst begins his compilation of Cayce's material from the Genesis to gain a foundation for the bulk of material that is written; namely the story of Jesus.

It is true that when we love another, we want to know and understand that person (s) in every way possible, we want to be good to that person, giving and kind. That's the way this book is written, Furst put together as much material as possible so that we could understand and fully grasp in a much greater reality and tangibility of the the Living Christ, every day/night.

Cayce was ahead of his time for the area that he lived. I am certain Orthodox Christian people found it very hard to accept his purpose in life, one of assisting others toward God through his gift of "readings." It is said that in all great visionaries, and certainly this can be applied to Christ, that there is a three step stage > 1. First there is Ridicule, 2. second there is Opposition and 3. finally Acceptance!

Thank you, MK

5.0 out of 5 stars This could be the most enlightening book you will ever read., March 4, 2001

This is it. This is the most enlightening book I have ever read. The author excerpts from the voluminous information provided by Edgar Cayce the information pertinent to Jesus Christ. He compiles it into a single volume and tries to help you make sense of these bits and pieces given by Cayce over decades. I can't wait to read it again. But I warn you, this is not for everyone. You have to be prepared for what you will learn. The prerequisite is a belief beyond a shadow of a doubt that every word revealed through the Cayce "readings" came from the spiritual world. If you are not there yet, you are wasting your time with this book, you won't believe what you read. It is true that the teacher will teach when the student is ready. If you are on a personal Search for God I encourage you to read "There is a River" and other books about Cayce. Once you have read enough to become convinced of Cayce's incredible accuracy in diagnosing and prescribing remedies for otherwise incurable illnesses; once you become a believer, you are then ready to read this. Your reward will be an enlightened insight into the life (or dare I say plural and give some of it away) of Jesus Christ. Much of the information provided corroborates and further explains that which is in the Bible. Read them both and your Search for God will be blessed with the truth, the light, and the way. No one comes to the Father except through Him. Eat of His flesh, Drink of His blood, for he is truly the bread of life. The spirit gives life, the flesh counts for nothing. The words He has spoken to us are SPIRIT, and they are life (John,6).

The author presents information from the Edgar Cayce "readings" which have to do with Jesus and who he was. Essentially, additional details are given about his birth, childhood, ministry, death and resurrection. Cayce's unique spin on the Christian message is blended in and it's very fascinating.

The trouble is that the book relies too much on the "readings" themselves which are somewhat obtuse, instead of just explaining to us what was meant and in what context it applies. The result is that the individual parts of the book don't really blend together into a whole and a lot of questions are left unanswered.

Nevertheless, it presents an interesting spin on Jesus and made me want to read more Cayce-related information.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Elightening Book, June 8, 2008

This book is probably one of the greater books of Enlightenment. Now I advise people- "Do not change your religion according to Cayce's views on Christ, especially if you are Christian. Not even Cayce wanted you to do that". One thing is that Cayce's view of Christ was a soul like us who had many incarnations- especially Adam and Jesus. And he is the first soul to become one with God. Now Cayce has bridged Eastern ideas with Western Ideas. I think he did an amazing job in his unconsciousness connecting the dots with all world ideas on mind-body-spirit. I suggest you read this book for greater Awareness and opening your mind to new thoughts, but take everything new he says about Christ with a grain a salt, even if you are Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or whatever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most enlightening non-Bible book I'veever read, July 23, 2008
Read it. Cayce's unconscious way of describing the beauty of this world an our opportunites to reelate with God are just beautiful. Fascinating ideas, inspirational language, beautiful inter-life stories. Can be a bit listy at times going through the various life readings that make up most of the book, but just too valuable not to read. I'm buying copies to give away.

Pretty amazing book. You will either believe it or not. If I were to have a qualm, it would be whether this information came from an evil source. (I'm a Catholic) but over and over it repeats the message of love. The book is enriching but does not feed the soul as the Bible does....but a very nice adjunct.

4.0 out of 5 stars This is a book I keep coming back to., July 16, 1998
By A Customer
I found this book presented fascinating insight into some of the "characters" around Jesus before, during and after the cross. Woven in this tapestry of souls is the sense of the Grand Plan for us to be One with Christ, reunited with the Father. I find myself cross-referencing this book with others... like "The Messengers" book by Ingram/Hardin and the names that pop-up there along with Paul of Tarsus.

5.0 out of 5 stars The book is perfection as presented, August 28, 2010
I read this book at the same time of my awakening. It is a book that contains questions made by people in the 1920's to 40's, the amount of spiritual knowledge at that time was limited and this kind of material was considered blasphemous, so please don't think these people were not intelligent with the questions asked. The questions asked we're like tipping your toes in the cold water, simply asking questions of that sort was taboo. The book is not a Novel, it is not literature, it is not science fiction, it is not New Age, and it is not entertainment, it is TRUTH. The book is not hard to read, rather, it is a book of perfectly used and spoken vocabulary that is a little hard to read for most due to the fact that we live in a country where the government is making it harder for teachers to TEACH students. The range of our current grammar has become the equivalent to "Man want Jane". To really know the WORD, you must KNOW the teacher, and you must pay attention, not be discouraged, and EARN THAT WHICH YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR! The book provides a perfect opportunity to learn from the master Christ by meditating on the information given in the replies to the questions asked. If you are a fundamental, reborn again, ego/self centered/only my opinion is correct, Christian, then you should read this book, to slap you wide awake from the lies that Vatican and all other religions have been preaching for years. Always remember, the Bible is a lie, a lie in the sense that it is a history book, and has been used as an excuse to wage wars and manipulate those searching for the light. The Bible is a book created by the council of nicea, appointed by emperor Constantine, in the times of Rome. Over TWO THIRDS (2/3) OF all spiritual works were discarded and the Bible, after created by THE COUNCIL then said, the bible was the word of GOD. Awake oh seekers of truth, know you are spirit, know you are light, accept you are GOD, for the Great spirit DWELLS in the living GOD.....YOU! For we are as leafs as the Creator is the Tree! You need no God other than the God within, you have no Master, other than yourself! Seekers of light, learn from the life of the Master, learn from this book! Jesus did all the hard work through reincarnations, all we have to do is live like him, he has already done the homework for us. Blessed be the Master, Blessed be our Creator!

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, March 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I found this book difficult to read because of the way it jumps around. It is written in a question and answer style with the questioner asking questions of the sleeping prophet. Although it has profound statements which I believe came from God, I could not really understand it because it did not flow in a logical sequence. I am no theologian or Biblical scholar.

Anyone that is familar with Edgar Cayce's work will regard this book as authentic information. I read this books years ago and at the time it was a learning experience. I found the Readings in the book helped me understand and except myself. To me the book helps explain the individuals relationship to our Maker. The book is easy to read and understand.
