4.0 out of 5 stars On the Edge, May 7, 2002
This review is from: On the Edge (Library Binding)
I thought this book was adventurous. I enjoyed reading it because I would always be trying to guess what was going to go on in the next sentence. A woman was finding love in a boy that she kidnapped. She wanted to find love in a child that she did not have. There is a bond between the woman and the boy. In the end the boy has to make a very important decision in his life. Love or reality? Readers in the area between 12-15 would enjoy this book. Try it out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Young Owners Review of On The Edge by Gillian Cross, April 7, 2002
A Kid's Review
I bought this book in my local library when I read the blurb. It sounded really exciting, and I couldn't wait to read it. I read it three times in the first week, and can remember extracts:

"I could die. Not in 100 years, or when I'm very old, but now. Today or tomorrow. In this room."

I couldn't put it down. It is thrilling, exciting and realistic. I would recommend it to teenagers who enjoy adventure stories, or want a break from your ordinary 'daily life of a normal person' book (Not that there's anything wrong with that type of book :) )

5.0 out of 5 stars great suspense for middle-schoolers, December 3, 1998
This review is from: On the Edge (Library Binding)
An excellent treatment of individuals working to define themselves as unique from one's family while also being a product of the same. This suspense filled novel could be used in a classroom developing other topics of study including terrorism and principles, love and family. Will keep you on the edge.
