I am an avid photographer, and have long been a serious collector of high quality photography books. "Edge of Forever ~ Images of Lake Superior" is beautifully done, and the collection of photographs from Peter Scott Eide are unique and intriguing. These beautiful black-and-white photographs are printed in wonderful tritone, and capture the stunning power and beauty of this renowned landscape. His compositional skills and detailed eye bring forth images, which I find to be extremely engaging on both an emotional and artistic level. I grew up visiting the Great Lakes region on family camping trips. The photos in this book continue to captivate me as I see something different each time I turn the pages. Absolutely haunting, mesmorizing, inspiring, and real. This book truly captures the spirit of the Great Lakes. A must for anyone who appreciates great photography!
