The Edge motivated my son to be a state champion in wrestling in a competitive state. Reading the book as an 8th grader, he started to write quotes from the book on 3 by 5 cards and carried them wherever he would go and would read them often to keep himself focused on winning a title even though at times he barely would be good enough to make the team at times. The book taught him that hard work makes dreams come true and that persistance does pay off in the end. The lessons learned from this book have proven to be lifelong and after he did win the state title, he has shown consistently that the lessons were long lasting into his life after wrestling. The book is a must for young people of all ages. Thanks Howard for giving us this treasure.

I HAVE READ THIS BOOK 5-6 TIMES AND I STILL FIND SOMETHING NEW EVERY TIME I OPEN IT. THIS BOOK IS A TREASURE AND I HOPE YOU READ IT AND SHARE IT WITH SOMEONE.

The Edge took me from a average school boy rugby union player to a professional player who represented 2 countries( Scotland - the land of my birth and South Africa - the country who taught me to play rugby.) In business and sport it is a roller coaster ride and The Edge motivated me to remain positive and always keep the fire of desire burning inside. Ths is one of the most influencial books in my life. It took me from a high school nobody, to a college somebody. It is a book that can help any person suceed in life, and to know the right way to do it. This book should be in everyone'e library. You can even read a quote every day and try to incorporate in that day. The edge is a true success book.

There are alot of motivational books out there, and this has to be near the top. The collection of quotes from the greats is exceptional, but the collection of essays, poems, and pictures is truly Olympian! If this book does not turn you on and get your juices flowing you might want to check to see if you are breathing. Great for both young and old,athlete and non-athlete alike because it's really speaking to more than just athletics, but more to the game of life.Gives great insites as to why those who excel have "the edge".

This is the most inspirational book I've ever read. A must read for anyone who wants to be succesful in anything, whether it be sports or life.

A great compilation of quotes from champion athletes and others, with more pictures than I've ever seen in a book. Clearly put together by someone who motivates people and needed a resource for himself.

This book is the most motivating book ever!! I was a coach for over 40 years and I still reccommend this to parents of young athletes. They will love it if they can get it out of their father's hands!!
