5.0 out of 5 stars If you own a 12" laptop, this is the bag you've been looking for
My Dell D410 fits perfectly, and there's plenty of room for the power supply and other needed extras like a spare mouse, pens, and paperwork. I didn't think I'd like the color, but I get complemented on it all the time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Practical Man Bag
This would get a 5 star rating if it had a decent shoulder strap. I can't believe what a well made bag it is except for the shoulder strap which is really where you need it to be comfortable. The pluses are the many pockets. It has a ton of compartments for just about everything. Even my small HP laptop fit. It's sturdy and looks masculine/college-ish. I took it to...

My Dell D410 fits perfectly, and there's plenty of room for the power supply and other needed extras like a spare mouse, pens, and paperwork. I didn't think I'd like the color, but I get complemented on it all the time.
The only possible complaint about this bag is the non padded, non detachable shoulder strap. I'm ordering one of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EVSFDE and it should be pretty much perfect, as a removable strap isn't that important.

Addendum a year later:
I still have the Dell D410 and it's a little worse for the wear, although the bag is still looking good. I actually like the fact that it limits the amount of gear I can carry, as I'm a consultant and I get a little obsessive about being prepared for every situation (do I really need to carry three flashlights?). I should add that I take public transit nearly everywhere, so traveling light is a necessity, and this bag sees a higher than normal amount of mileage.
My second bag is a Crumpler Salary Sacrifice, which is a great bag, but when I carry it, I tend to wind up carrying far too much gear.
The bag itself has started showing a bit of wear from being carried on foot across the city, but after a minor amount of cleanup it looks as good as new.
I should again add that the addition of a shoulder pad is practically a necessity on this, although it's small size and light weight doesn't necessitate much of one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bag for travelling light, February 24, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is just perfect for my new travelling style. Given that I live in the Dominican Republic, I have to make a lot of connections through San Juan, PR Airport, therefore having to travel in the ATR propeller airplanes that have a small cabin and not much space for carry on luggage inside.

This bag is perfect..I get to carry my Acer Aspire One Sub Notebook, m Bose QC3 headphones, my camera, mouse, garmin 255w GPS, connection cables, power supplies, external DVD R/W unit, file folders, keys, pens, etc, and it has 3 special compartments, one on the top front to place your MP3 player, wit a hole for the headphones, one on the side that I use for my medicines and dome TSA Approved loks for the other bagagge. Finnaly, on the other side it has a mesh pocket where you can place a bottle, which comes quite handy for travelling.

It is confortable to carry, taking in account that i place more tha 15 pounds of gear in it.

Final word...chose the color you want among the availables, but definatly go get this bag for travelling ligth

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Bag for my 10 inch Netbook, September 7, 2009
I have been using this bag with my MSI U123 netbook for about 3 months now and am an IT professional. Finding a bag small enough for this 10 inch netbook, the power cord, mouse, and most of the things that you would normally find in a computer bag was harder than picking out the netbook itself. The bag manufactures must think that netbooks are just a passing fad or something. But I have found is perfect, small, light weight all the pouches are all very smartly designed. Did I also say that it is built in a very solid way, nothing cheap in the feel or look of this bag, including lots of padding for the most important passenger. My bet is that it could hold a 12 inch screen, so my 10 inch does slide a little from side to side, but I needed a bit more space than the average 10 inch because I have a 9 cell battery and not the stock 6 or 3 cell. You will find that a standard sheet of paper or a thin magazine will not fit in this bag, but you were not looking for a big bag anyway. The only issues that I had with it were the side pouches and the elastic Velcro strap inside. On one side you have a small draw string pouch that can hardly fit a can of pop or the smallest diameter water bottle. Another half inch of material may have expanded this to fit most water bottles and even a standard 20 Oz bottle of pop. On the other side is a pouch that is a bit big for a wireless mouse and too small for the power cords, so in my case the little pocket is empty all the time. The strap on the inside really is just in the way on my computer and anything larger, it sticks to everything in the bag and does not seem to help keep my computer from moving around much. In general these weaknesses are really petty when looking at the bag in its entirety, and were meant only to give the manufacturer something to improve on. My satisfaction of this bag is 10 of 10, but the manufacturer has a small bit of R & D to do.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice bag, but with some shortcomings, February 9, 2009

I'll try to be very short and to the point:
Good - form factor, quality materials.
Bad - absence of handle (only shoulder strap)

4.0 out of 5 stars Just what I wanted, January 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I wanted a bag that could hold the contents of my purse, plus my Kindle and accessories. (I was tired of being caught without my charger and booklight.) The Kindle is in a padded case of its own, so most handbags wouldn't be roomy enough.

This bag is very roomy, the size of a small backpack. The large interior compartment is well-padded. As someone who frequently drops her bag, or bumps into things, this was important to me.

The large, interior compartment is split into two sections, one with the top held closed by a heavy Velcro strap looping over the top. (The only problem is that the strap wanted to stick to the side of the other compartment and I had to keep tugging it off. But, hey, the bag WANTS to stay closed, right? And that's a mission I can support.) Mind you, this is in an already zippered compartment, so it's almost like security overkill. But I like it. The compartment with the strap will be perfect for my Kindle, even if it will slide a little deep inside.

There is a compartment also on the outside under the flap. The sides zip down to allow easier access to the deeper Velcro pockets. The sides come up to the the very top of the bag, leaving no gap. My digital camera fit perfectly in one of the rectangular Velcro pockets.

I threw all of my girly-stuff like lipstick, lotions, brush and the like into that large compartment, sticking the stuff I use the most into the zippered mesh pocket at the top. I secured the flap, turned it upside down and shook like hell. Nothing fell out. I was duly impressed.

In addition, there are numerous pockets on the outside of the bag. I really like the hole for the iPod earbuds to pass through. The zippered one on the back is where I stashed my chargers. As God is my witness, I'll never be charger-less again!

Another feature I liked was the ID pocket under the end of the flap. It would fit a business card perfectly, or a student ID card for quick access.

When it comes to overall appearance, this is a very gender-neutral bag. It has very backpack-like, athletic look to it. It's a bit large for an ordinary purse, unless you're like me, a girl who carries half of her earthly belongings with her wherever she goes. It would work great as a carry-on bag or as a small bag for a day trip.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great gift, May 17, 2009
By
I gave this as a gift to someone with a 9" netbook. While the bag seemed slightly bigger than needed, it was a huge hit. The netbook fits nicely and there is plenty of room for other odds and ends. It's sturdy and attractive.
It was perfect for my guy who wanted something smaller than his backpack style laptop bag but, also didn't want to look like he was carrying a woman's bag/purse. I would definitely recommend this bag.

I own an Asus Eee PC (1000HA, which is the 10" version), and after searching stores, I finally decided to try looking online for a bag.

This is a little bit more pricey than the ones I was looking at, but I do not regret spending the money. This bag fits my Eee PC, as well as the accessories just fine, and leaves room for more! Despite being roomy, it is a nice, compact bag that will protect your expensive equipment. I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a good Netbook travel-bag.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great Netbook/Tablet bag with a few quirks, February 3, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Length:: 2:20 Mins

The Good:

- The outer mesh cup/bottle holder is big enough to hold my Contigo AUTOSEAL Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Tumbler, 16 Ounces, Black perfectly.

- There are plenty of pockets. I've provided a detailed tour in the video.

- The largest pocket is well padded and has a (non-removable) padded divider. It's big enough to hold a small laptop or tablet, a letter-sized legal pad, and still have room to spare.

- There *is* a handle.

The Bad/Quirky:

- The shoulder strap is kind of slick. If you are prone to having shoulder straps slip off your shoulder then this could be a problem. I bought the Planet Waves Gel Guitar Strap Shoulder Pad (listed as "Frequently Bought Together" with this bag) and it helps a bit.

- I'm 6'2" and the shoulder strap is barely long enough to slip over my head so it runs across my chest/back. If you are bigger and like to carry the bag like this it may be a problem.

- There is no key hook. I solved this problem the same way I always do, with a Nite Ize SB1-2PK-01 Size-1 S-Biner, Black, 2-Pack connected to an interior zipper.

- There are three pen loops and they are a bit on the small side and not very elastic. For example, they hold a uni-ball 207 Retractable Ultra Micro Point Gel Pens, 4 Black Ink Pens (1790927) just fine but there's no way my uni-ball 207 Premier Retractable Gel Roller Ball Pen, 1 Black Ink Pen (40108) would fit.

- The bag has an industrial smell that's taking a long time to fade away.

Bottom line: I bought this bag for when I didn't have enough stuff to fill my Tenba Small Messenger. Now I find I'm using it almost every day.
