Several of Ruth's Moon books (WITCHING MOON, SHADOW OF THE MOON, and NEW MOON) have been on the USA Today best-seller list.

5.0 out of 5 stars bang-on paranormal tale by talented writer, December 8, 2003
This review is from: Edge of the Moon (The Moon Series, Book 2) (Mass Market Paperback)
I think I have read everything Rebecca York wrote for the Harlequin Intrigues line - and continue to do so - and she's never failed to keep me turning page after page. However, with her Moon series for Berkley, she crafts stunning tales of werewolves with a skill that provides goosebumps!

Graphics designer Kathryn Reynold's neighbour vanishes, but she is beginning to see this is a sinister patterns for others has gone missing, too. An old lady, then a child, later a teenage boy. What could their disappearances have in common? However, when she meets detective Jack Thornton, she has other things on her mind as well, because the attraction to him is nearly overwhelming.

And the attraction is the same on Jack's part. He thought he was responding to a routine call of a missing person, so he never expected to run into the wall of emotions evoked by Kathryn. The dreams they begin sharing are so intense, they nearly shatter his control. But as the dreams intensify, he comes to sense another presence, one who is manipulating both Kathryn and him. As the cat and mouse game whre a killer is upping the odds, Jack fears Kathryn might be the next victim.

It's tense, dark and brooding and right on target!!

Second in the Moon series for York and is a must for paranormal fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Page-Turning Paranormal Suspense!, August 26, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Edge of the Moon (The Moon Series, Book 2) (Mass Market Paperback)
.........................

Evil wears many faces...

In EDGE OF THE MOON, Rebecca York's second novel of the MOON trilogy, Police Detective Jack Thornton and Graphic Designer Kathryn Reynolds are about to find out just how true those words can be.

A simple plumber, a slick-talking salesman, an elderly gentleman lost in an unfamiliar neighborhood; under the make-up and costumes Simon Gywnn is pure evil. After years spent committing crimes in the name of magic and sacrifice, he has at last worked his way up to what he believes will be his greatest and most rewarding accomplishment yet: enslaving a demon.

With the stage already set and his lines all memorized, Simon only needs one crucial element to complete this supreme bid for control: a final victim.

But the demon has other ideas.

Drawn together by a compelling and irresistible attraction, nudged along by an otherworldly influence, Jack and Kathryn must work quickly to battle their way past the killer's many masks to find the true face beneath. Because knowing that Kathryn has been selected as the killer's ultimate sacrifice is only one of their problems. They also have the demon himself to contend with.

A demon willing to destroy everything if his machinations through Jack and Kathryn aren't enough to stop Simon on their own.

After years of enjoying Rebecca York books, from the "Peregrine" collection through the "Light Street" series, the MOON trilogy's single title debut has far surpassed even the exceptional quality I expected when I purchased the first two books in this series. If you missed KILLING MOON, then be sure to get yourself a copy today and keep your eyes peeled for WITCHING MOON, due out in October. These are unquestionably the most remarkable works yet from a master storyteller with a bevy of bestsellers already under her belt.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh yes!, August 13, 2003
By
This review is from: Edge of the Moon (The Moon Series, Book 2) (Mass Market Paperback)
Werewolves are hardly the most frightening denizens of the night. Far more sinister beings have haunted the mortal world from time immemorial. In EDGE OF THE MOON, Rebcecca York reminds readers of that.

As people begin vanishing, Detective Jack Thornton, from KILLING MOON, investigates. Meeting Kathryn Reynolds sends something tingling through his senses. Time stops as they are drawn to one another. Their lives and dreams begin to intertwine, but those same dreams could pose a danger to them. Forces from beyond this world are seeking entrance, and two lovers are the only thing that stand between a dimensional collision and all Hell literally breaking loose.

***** Though this book is a sequel to the previous one, it stands alone easily. With high sensuality and suspense, Ms. York continues to build an enticing world of strangely familiar and altogether new myth. *****
