Product Description

Keep your wines chilled to perfection using the EdgeStar 30 Bottle Built-In Wine Cooler (CWR301SZ). You can store up to 30 standard 750 ml wine bottles in this undercounter wine cooler, which is perfect for large or small collections that need extra room for chilling and storage. The stainless steel-trimmed dual paned glass door with stainless steel venting grate allows you to keep this unit as a built-in or freestanding cooler, and will let you view your collection through the glass without having to open the door and let out all of the cold air. The glass door also comes with black dotted door tint to prevent UV rays from coming inside the wine cooler, protecting your wines from harmful rays that can damage the integrity of the wine. A built-in carbon filter also protects the wine by acting as a natural barrier against odors that can ruin the taste of the wines, so you can be sure your collection is well protected. Adding to the elegant look of the wine fridge, the wood-trimmed wire shelves and flat bar handle give this cooler the perfect look for any setting: the kitchen, a game room, your wine cellar, and even your home office. This built-in cooler offers a temperature range from 40 - 65 degrees F, which is perfect for storing both red and white wines. Temperature is easily controlled with electronic controls and monitored through a digital display, and the blue LED light offers a view of your wines without spoiling them by light exposure. This premium built in wine refrigerator offers six (6) slide-out shelves, including five (5) shelves holding up to 5 bottles each in a "reversed racked" style and one bottle on the top shelf next to the control panel. Perfect for any type of collector or for people who just love wine, this wine refrigerator will be a perfect addition to your collection. External Dimensions (without handle): 32" H x 15" W x 23 3/4" D; External Dimensions (with handle): 32" H x 15" W x 25 3/4" D

3.0 out of 5 stars Shelves are pretty close together July 7, 2014

Shelves are pretty close together. It will hold 30 bottles, but shelves bump into the bottles below them (and the bottles on the shelf you are pulling bump into the shelf above).

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value for the money January 7, 2014

the edgestarWine cooler seems to be a good value for the money. It works as advertised and out of the box maintains a good temperature for the wines. As for under counter coolers, it replaced one that died. The original had a little bit more space in width and much more space in the heighth. The bottles just barely fit between the shelves. Some bottles drag on the shelf above.

Front door had a small dent - too much to trouble to send back. Manual should explain how to load wine. I still can't get 5 bottles on shelf. Everything else O.K.

Only time will tell how it lasts. I am waiting a few weeks to make sure before putting my good wine in it!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this!,, September 30, 2013

After reading several reviews I purchased this wine cooler...it is quiet and keeps wine at correct temp. I would recommend not plugging in for 24hours after delivery, just in case delivery service has turned on its side during transport.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product June 12, 2014

I bought this two months ago and so far, no problems. A few remarks...

The box it came in contained foam corner pieces to absorb shock, but they had worked loose from the corners and were free floating when I opened the box. No harm done in my case, though.

To gain access to the attachment points for the handle screws, you have to pull the door insulation strip loose. This didn't feel right, somehow; I googled around a bit first to find someone else who had done it to be sure I wasn't missing something (hey, I wasn't keen on pulling the insulation strip out of my brand new wine cooler). I needn't have worried. It turned out to be easy to put back in. Working enough of the strip loose to gain access takes some firm pulling, but nothing ripped.

I waited 24 hours before plugging the unit in. I notice that it did rattle some, but that turned out to be the empty shelves. Once I loaded some bottles in it, the thing quieted down.

I read a comment about the width being a little off at the bottom. Mine is 15 inches (top and bottom), but it didn't seem to sit straight in the cabinet opening. I attempted numerous adjustments on the adjustable feet but couldn't get it quite right. I finally noticed that the bracket on which the two rear feet are mounted was bent (this may have happened when I raised the rear of the unit up with a block of wood to make adjustments). The bracket is not very thick and bends easily. I pressed it down with my foot and managed to bend it back into position.

The smallest wine bottles fit fine. Slightly wider bottles fit okay once they're in, but you'll have to raise the shelf above them a bit to get the drawer to slide in and out.

I'm a novice in the wine world and wanted a cooler that didn't cost an arm and a leg (and would fit where my trash compactor used to be). The Edgestar has been good so far.
