Product Description

Keep your red and white wines chilled to a perfect temperature with the EdgeStar 26 Bottle Dual Zone Stainless Steel Built-In Wine Cooler (CWR262DZ). With this wine cooler, you can store up to 26 standard 750 ml wine bottles, which is perfect for large collections and wine cellars. A stainless steel-trimmed dual paned glass door with stainless steel venting grate make this wine cooler look fantastic in any setting, while the stainless trimmed shelving matches and adds to the cooler's elegance. The door's glass comes tinted with a black dotted design that is used to prevent UV rays from coming into the wine cooler, protecting your wines while being stored in the cooler. Complete with a flat bar handle and blue LED lighting for an excellent presentation, this unit can fit in the kitchen, game room, wine cellar and more and look perfect fitting into the cabinetry. This premium undercounter wine refrigerator features two (2) separate, digitally controlled zones designed specifically to keep red and white wines at optimum temperatures. The lower zone holds 18 bottles of white wine at a temperature range between 40-54 degrees F while the upper zone stores 8 bottles of red wine between 54-64 degrees F. The built-in stainless steel-trimmed wood shelves hold a maximum of five (5) bottles per shelf in a staggered reverse racked manner in addition to the bottom display rack. A built-in carbon filter acts as a natural barrier against odors trying to come into the wine cooler, which can ruin the integrity of your wines. Perfect for both the amateur and professional collectors and wine connoisseurs, this cooler will bring even more elegance and distinction to your collection. Dimensions (with handle): 32" H x 15" W x 25 1/2" D Dimensions (without handle): 32" H x 15" W x 23 1/2" D

Just received it and it seems to work. Don't see how this can be called a 26-bottle unit. I see 21 tops, 6 in the upper zone and 15 in the lower. The picture shows only 17 bottles. Had it been advertised as a 21-bottle unit, I would give it more stars. It replaces a trash compacter quite nicely and it is attractive; I don't care for black or stainless steel (and it would look good with either) but using it as a built-in enough wood shelving shows for it to fit nicely in my bisque and wood kitchen. Under-counter, it would be nicer if it were about 3 inches taller; there's about a 4-inch gap to cover.

While this is, indeed, a dual zone wine cooler, the upper zone's range is calibrated for red wine, and the lower zone for white. You can fit 7 bottles of red in the upper zone, and 19 in the lower. Other gripes:
* Overall appearance is nice, but the pull-out drawers are lightweight and feel cheep
* The bottom drawer is added as an afterthought - it just sits on the floor of the cooler

Also, if you buy this cooler from Livingdirect, you are STUCK WITH IT - we tried to return it and would have needed to pay over $200 to ship it back plus a 15% re-stocking fee. Go to a local Home Depot and find the right cooler for your needs - you'll be better off.

After less than two years this wine cooler has completely stopped working! When we originally bought it, we thought a dual zone refrigerator was a good idea but quickly discovered that red wines were far too cold, even at the highest setting, so we stopped storing red wines in the wine cooler; white wines were nicely chilled, however. When it was working, the refrigerator ran almost non-stop and was very noisy. Aesthetically, its appearance is pleasing. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone. Compared to similarly sized built-in wine coolers the EdgeStar looks like a great deal, price-wise; however, we learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. We are now looking to replace it with a higher quality one-zone appliance which we hope will last longer than 20 months.

My husband and I were not happy with the quality of the wine cooler and sent it back. Still waiting on the credit to my account.

We purchased this to fit under a counter and take the place of a trash compactor. It's a little smaller but we framed it out with the same wood as the cabinets, so it looks quite nice. Unfortunately, the racks are not adjustable and they are too close together to fit larger diameter bottles. We took one of the racks out, therefore we lost storage . Also adjusting temps is a little confusing. Top level can only be adjusted up and bottom can only be adjusted down.
Happy with the item mostly because I don't have to look at the ugly trash compactor anymore.

The cooler fit very well and was easy to set up. We've had it for several months and are very happy with its performance. The only negative is the bright blue temperature lights. I wish there was a way to dim them a little.

Read many reviews on this class of product before purchasing.
Packaging for shipment was excellent. Actually the fully boxed wind refrigerator was packed inside a box which was boxed again with an exterior box with protective foam corners.

Do notice a bit of noise when in its high cooling cycle. But not an issue since it is near the kitchen area.

Actual size was accurate and important since I had already roughed out a spot in the existing kitchen bar cabinet.
