While this is, indeed, a dual zone wine cooler, the upper zone's range is calibrated for red wine, and the lower zone for white. You can fit 7 bottles of red in the upper zone, and 19 in the lower. Other gripes:
* Overall appearance is nice, but the pull-out drawers are lightweight and feel cheep
* The bottom drawer is added as an afterthought - it just sits on the floor of the cooler

Also, if you buy this cooler from Livingdirect, you are STUCK WITH IT - we tried to return it and would have needed to pay over $200 to ship it back plus a 15% re-stocking fee. Go to a local Home Depot and find the right cooler for your needs - you'll be better off.

EDIT: This refrigerator stopped cooling after about 15 months - the fan blows, but warm air only. Rather than fix it I'm expecting to write this one off and get a better unit. I personally would never recommend this model.

This only has a 1-year warranty!!!! Don't overlook that. We bought this unit to fit into an existing space to replace an ice maker. Ours completely stopped working less than 19 months! The EdgeStar representative was VERY RUDE and not helpful at all! His attitude was "everything breaks eventually"...really?, less than two years for a basic refrigerator, that is just wrong! That attitude is not very good for a company! Do not waste your money on this cooler. I will never buy an EdgeStar product again due to the product quality and the customer service attitude!

This unit works well; some problems with ice building up at the back when it's humid, which is rare where I live. It replaces a trash compacter quite nicely and it is attractive; I don't care for black or stainless steel (and it would look good with either) but using it as a built-in enough wood shelving shows for it to fit nicely in my kitchen. Under-counter, it would be nicer if it were about 3 inches taller; there's about a 4-inch gap to cover.

After less than two years this wine cooler has completely stopped working! When we originally bought it, we thought a dual zone refrigerator was a good idea but quickly discovered that red wines were far too cold, even at the highest setting, so we stopped storing red wines in the wine cooler; white wines were nicely chilled, however. When it was working, the refrigerator ran almost non-stop and was very noisy. Aesthetically, its appearance is pleasing. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone. Compared to similarly sized built-in wine coolers the EdgeStar looks like a great deal, price-wise; however, we learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. We are now looking to replace it with a higher quality one-zone appliance which we hope will last longer than 20 months.

Overall it works fine, though I do have a few minor gripes:
- the upper section is too small. It only really holds about 5 bottles
- It does not support setting the temp in either section to whatever temperature you like. Instead, the top and bottom sections only allow a specific temperature range so you are limited to the quantity of wine you can put in the refrigerator depending on the section.
- it is a bit on the noisy side when it cycles on
- it is a bit short (not really under the counter height). they could have added an inch to the height of the unit which would have allowed for bigger bottoms on one of the shelves.

We purchased this to fit under a counter and take the place of a trash compactor. It's a little smaller but we framed it out with the same wood as the cabinets, so it looks quite nice. Unfortunately, the racks are not adjustable and they are too close together to fit larger diameter bottles. We took one of the racks out, therefore we lost storage . Also adjusting temps is a little confusing. Top level can only be adjusted up and bottom can only be adjusted down.
Happy with the item mostly because I don't have to look at the ugly trash compactor anymore.

Had this unit for a little over a year. Stopped cooling. Called Edgestar.com and told me it was a relay starter and referred me to an on line video that shows how to replace it myself. They have no technicians they can recommend for repair. After trying to find a repair company in my area that services wine coolers with no luck, I contacted Edgestar again and they did provide me the name of their warranty company so I called them and after explaining the situation they were able to assign a tech. Once the tech came out and confimred it was the relay switch, we had to order it from repairclinic.com. Edgestar customer service is good but the fact that most of the repairs are expected to be self completed is a turn off.
