This is a year-long collection of daily devotional readings collected from the writings of the famous missionary to India, Amy Carmichael. If you like Amy Carmichael, and particularly if you like reading in small daily chunks, you will like this book.

I bought this book because I had recently read a biography of Amy Carmichael and I was interested in looking at her own writings. I have had the book for a couple years now and have gone through it more or less each year. It has been such a blessing in my life. The entries are pretty short but always pointed and so full of Carmichael's unique revelations on Scripture. I want to buy several copies and give them to friends as Christmas gifts. I know they will be encouraged by Amy's focus on Christ and the Word of God and her hope in Him for all she needed in her life. I highly recommend this book!

I discovered the writings of Amy Carmichael while stationed in Vietnam in 1970-1971. Her words fed my soul every day. Edges of His Ways is one of my favorites by her. Highly recommended for those fed up with the shallowness of contemporary Christianity.

This book has been a part of my daily devotional life for 23 years! Every time I read it I am blessed by the insight of Ms. Carmichael which comes from a deep intimacy with her Savior. Amy's life is a testimony to God's grace and mercy and this book is filled with many of her moments alone with God in the years she lived on the mission field to India. You cannot but help to grow in your love and intimacy with the Lord through the reading of this devotional. Beware, there will be many blessings ahead as you do! I would give this ten stars if I could, but five will do!
