5.0 out of 5 stars Much better than I expected - Buy all of their CDs, February 29, 2004

When my brother first sent me this CD, I wasn't too sure about it, because I am not a heavy metal fan. But I listened, and now I'm hooked. I get many of Edgewater's tunes stuck in my head for weeks after listening to it. My favorite tracks on their first CD are Tres Quatros, As If You Know Me, and Anthem. I hear these guys are awesome live.

I'd recommend Edgewater's second CD "Lifter" as well. It's even better than "Edgewater". Eyes Wired Shut and Sweet Suffocation are very upbeat. Ode to You and Lifter are slow and thoughtful. Their tribute to Tom Petty with Won't Back Down is great too.

Their newest album "South of Sideways" is due in April '04. Can't wait to hear it. Right now, Edgewater is unknown to most of the US. I hope that changes with the release of "The Punisher" soundtrack - They've got a track with one of my faves - Eyes Wired Shut!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, June 7, 2002

I remember as I was growing up, hear my brother play the guitar for hours upon hours, it payed off! Justin- I am very proud of you and happy for you and all of the hard work you have put into your success with the band. All 5 of you young men are very talented and I have to admit that I am very surprised at how much I love your music! Even if you weren't my brother, I'd still love the music! Especially, Lifter! Great song! I would totally recommend this band, and you guys deserve all the success that will come your way! As soon as you guys break through Texas and are heard through out the country, I can only imagine the success, and the fans! Keep at it, y'all are already stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars nothing better to do in a small town, October 31, 2000
By A Customer

This is a band from my home town, and they are something that will be huge in a few years. They are influenced by Hum, Pearl Jam, Korn and I hear some Candlebox in it too. They put on a great live show and are recording a live (maybe) cd. If you live any where in the South you should check them out!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Edgewater review, May 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Edgewater (Audio CD)
Edgewater is absolutely breathtaking. I can't believe they haven't made it big yet with a sound as good as theirs. They aren't even close to Pop though. My impression of them is a cross between Chicago and Creed, which is an incredible combination. If you like Creed (and who doesn't?) then you'll love Edgewater.

5.0 out of 5 stars Future of Pop, if you wanna' call this 'pop'., January 3, 2000

Gets my vote for Best New Band of 99-2000. What can I say, this is how you make a debute album, original and innovative. This is pop? Maybe so, but the guitars are a tad heavy for today's standard of 'pop' such as Goo Goo Dolls. But Whatever you want to lable it, this CD is breathtaking, and even backed up better by the group's stellar live performances. And well, it looks like my local boys' CD made it to at least Amazon. This the band's first CD and they literally BLEED talent. I'm pulling heavy that Edgewater will continue to grow and catch on. But for now, people that just happen to come across this title while browsing Amazon. Please, PLEASE buy it and support them. You won't be sorry.

I remember sitting on the couch listening to you as Catch 22 in Wylie. I always will think Catch 22 had it going on but what you and Edgewater have done with this cd is really kickin. To anyone considering purchasing this, don't consider it any longer, DO IT, you won't be dissapointed. In the realm of pop rock, "Edgewater" is definitely a winner.
