a small gregarious toothed whale that typically has a beaklike snout and a curved fin on the back. Dolphins have become well known for their sociable nature and high intelligence.
Not entirely. Under Mac it doesn't support networks with WPA- or WPA2-Enterprise security, these only work under Windows. So you won't be able to connect to most modern company WiFis under Mac.
My current range of use for these is around 40'-50' and it seems to work fine however I would double check with the manufacturer as this is a home environment I am currently using them for. Office envirments ad other eliments that may hinder/interfere it's ability to accept a longer range. AS for the older OS' I should think they would be fine although ME may be a stretch, definately double check with the manufacturer just to be sure. Hope this helps.

Hi Tim,
The answer is YES if your desktop is windows system, ex: Windows XP, and your desktop must have internet connection.
If so, you can setup EW-7811 as access point( Soft AP mode). Please see the user manual page 43 (CHAPTER III: Soft-AP Function)
You can download the manual from Edimax website - http://www.edimax.com/en/produce_detail.php?pl1_id=28&pl2_id=138&pl3_id=330&pd_id=347#03
However, we strongly recommend you to purchase Edimax Access Point to produce wireless for your laptop, ex EW-7228APn, EW-7416APn.
Using ew-7811Un as Wireless Access Point is not the long-term solution for your wireless network at home.
If you have any questions about access point, please email to "support@edimax.us."
We are more than willing to help you with your concerns.
Thanks,

You would only need this if your PC doesn't have a wireless already installed and you want it to hook up wirelessly. But most wi-fi routers also have ports to allow a wired connection to a PC, a laptop, or a printer. This little device works well, but it will not make your wi-fi faster - that is dictated by the MBPS-level that you buy from your internet provider (cable TV, telephone company, etc.)
