5.0 out of 5 stars Anyone who edits a newsletter ought to read this book., June 14, 1999

This review is from: Editing Your Newsletter: How to Produce an Effective Publication Using Traditional Tools and Computers (Paperback)
Mark Beach understands that editing a newsletter is a process, not a goal in itself. He encourages people to assess their audience -- their real audience -- and adjust their content to meet that need. It's a great hands-on manual. I have the 1988 edition; I'm sure the newer version updates all the latest electronic doo-dads (they're great). But the key is recognizing who you are writing for and what they need. Mark offers clear tips, understandable options and usable advice. This is a winner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great informational resource, May 15, 2008
This review is from: Editing Your Newsletter: How to Produce an Effective Publication Using Traditional Tools and Computers (Paperback)
I bought this book when I first began putting together newsletters. It is a simple, easy to follow guide and well worth the read. It covers all the basics with samples throughout the book, covering everything from defining the goal of your newsletter to formatting and mailing services.
