Slim, unhelpful guide,

Small guide seemingly written in the 1950s rather than 2004. For example, does anyone need a book that lists state abbreviations? Common sense advice runs along the lines of "be clear and concise" and "include yor name and phone number..."

This is an essentially pointless and unhelpful "guide." Anyone who can construct a decent sentence will already know everything that is in this book - it's common sense. Furthermore, the book is drastically overpriced based on the page count, and worse yet, the nonexistent information therein. Do a Google Search on press releases and everything contained in this book - and more - will be instantly at your fingertips, for free. I wish I would have had the benefit of customer reviews before I wasted money this woefully inadequate, nearly criminally worthless guide. Take my advice (as well as that of the other reviewers) and keep this out of your Amazon cart.

This book is okay for people who have never written a press release in their life. I however, have. I purchsed it as a guide because I hadn't written a press release in a few years and wanted to make sure my formatting was perfect. It does not help at all with formatting. If only I would have saved my Press Release books from college! :)
