I give this 5 stars just for the fact the West Virginia, as a state gets its own volume and the remaining 49 states can be found in the 4 other volumes that make this complete set.

Be aware that many of the luistings in this catalog are more for the rarity of pieces and NOT their retail value. HOWEVER, it is comprehensive in the liosting of Towns, their county and their representative coal co. The hobby and the subject are far from complete. IF you should find yourself in the hobby of coal scrip collecting, you will find very honest and forthright folks as well as those who really have NO idea as to the valuation of any piece. This is a MUST HAVE for those entering the hobby

IF you need a copy as this book does indeed go in and out of publication, contact the National Scrip Collectors Association. They are on the web and very knowledgeable of this hobby
